Uncle Chuang's Bakery is so good. The employees are super welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We've been coming for years. We have probably tried everything they bake. Nothing disappoints everything has been absolutely delicious. You can taste the love they put into their goodies. We've also pre-ordered lots of birthday cakes and special occasion cakes. They always make them with love and perfection. If you haven't tried them before, you are definitely missing out. This is one of are go to Asain Bakeries. It's way better than the big named Asain Bakeries, in my opinion. Everything they make here is perfectly lightly sweetened. Just the way my family likes it.

I had the worst experience with this bakery. I ordered a cake in advance and paid in advance. The cake was to say my name then this bakery told me they would give a happy birthday sign. They did not write my name upon pick up and would not give a happy birthday sign. Jenifer who was working told me they don’t do that. This place was a damper on an important day. Do not use for special occasions because they do not honor what you order, take your money in advance, and will not give a refund. If they could not write my name they should not have sold the cake to me or called me telling me that so I could have went somewhere else.

Today was my first time visiting Uncle Chuangs bakery! ✨ I spent 5 minutes looking around seeing what kinds of pastries they had to sell. It's like an 85° bakery but better, a wider variety of options, cheaper and much closer to where I live. They also sell cakes and drinks in a fridge. Two lovely ladies helped me check out today and I spent more than $12 so I got a free drink! I got the iced tea and it was so good! It was sweet and tasted like flowers. My mom, son and I loved it! I'll be coming back very soon for more!

This review is for the customer service I received today 2/29/24 from the young girl working the counter with long black hair and a mole above her lip. I asked her for the 2 front large chocolate covered strawberries that were behind the glass bridge priced at 3.00 each. She ignored me and grabbed 2 strawberries from the back row and placed them in the bag. I looked in the bag and they were small and I said I wanted the ones from the front. She said per policy she can only give the strawberries from the back row. I said if I am paying 3.00 each I should be able to pick the ones I want to buy. She snapped saying it's policy! So I left without purchasing anything. If it's really policy then the store wants you to believe you are buying large strawberries when the ones in the back row are in actually half the size of the ones in the front row (the ones they wont let you buy). If it's not the policy then the manager should know he has a worker with a bad attitude who's making the business lose money. She had bad...

Great for a quick snack with very college-friendly prices. Highly recommend their Spam Musubi, Egg Tart, Flour Cake, Taro Ube Ice Cream Sandwich, Teriyaki Chicken Bun, and loaves of "Toast". Haven't been disappointed by anything yet. Spend $7 and you can get a free hot or iced tea, or hot coffee (their iced green tea tastes vaguely like jasmine and is very good) and a stamp for your stamp card. 10 stamps and you get a free cake roll ($6 value) plus your stamp card gets put up on the wall. Sometimes they will give you a small store branded gift like a pin or a pen when you complete the card. Employees are always nice and friendly, but forget to offer the free drink at $7 fairly often so be sure to ask if you want it! I'm about to fill up my third stamp card...

The atmosphere is not necessarily the Ritz, but it's what you would expect from a self-serve bakery: clean with a polite staff. I have been looking for Bay Area-quality Asian baked goods in Southern CA for a long time. This place was worth hitting on my way back to the desert...and it might even be worth a trip just to stock up on bao and other treats. The baked pork bao are large, fluffy and filled with great BBQ pork.

It seems as though there is a great, small bakery like this on every other corner of Oakland, SF and Fremont, but I've had a hard time finding one here. I'm open to any and all suggestions for amazing dim sum to-go. There's got to be something in the San Gabriel Valley...I just haven't heard...
