In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Riverside

I always leave 5-star reviews for In-N-Out because they consistently have the best burgers and the best customer service. However, this time, I was met with some rudeness and what seemed like annoyance from the cashier. The lady taking the orders, Yajaira, didn’t provide the warm, friendly service I’ve come to expect.

We greeted each other, and I placed a simple order: one Double-Double, animal style, with extra spread. She looked at me like I was asking for the impossible and said, “Extra spread?” I said, “Yes, please” — which I’ve been ordering for the past 10 years. She responded, “Animal style already comes with extra spread, in case you didn’t know.” I smiled and said, “Can I have extra extra then?” She huffed and tapped on the screen.

I also felt rushed and a bit pressured when I was trying to decide what else I wanted to order, which made the experience uncomfortable. Normally, In-N-Out staff are super patient and helpful, which is why this stood out to me.

I don’t think it’s fair to leave a one-star review over a single off interaction, especially when In-N-Out usually delivers excellent service. I just wanted to share this moment in hopes it was just an off day...

This in-n-out has definitely got it's groove now, slower rocky start but after a free years and a team that's well oiled and experienced they move at a fast pace for how busy they are and my family has very picky specific orders and they get them right every time now. Love it

+$UPDATE$+/ 02/26/24 This IN-N-OUT SLAYS! They are definitely running as a well oiled machine even being a newer in-n-out the only struggle is the same struggle even a 30+ year old in-n-out has and that's the not so unfortunate problem of being too busy. My family of four waited in the drive-thru for forty minutes. With that said the order was hot, correct, and ready at the window, the cashier gave our kids stickers and we were headed home. $&!Update!&$ Went through the drive thru again with my two boys aged 5 and 14 yrs old and it was about the same amount of wait time 45 minutes but I forgot some items and they added them at the payment window and by the time I got to the pick up window all of the order was ready at the same time I was very impressed. The order was correct...

I had my first In-N-Out burger 62 years ago (Pasadena, CA). Until the last 2 years - has easily remained my favorite. 👎 NOT ANY MORE! * Recently, I had a horrific 'cheeseburger' here at this new location -- which, easily was the WORST one I've ever had! The meat patty was SO SMALL and THIN it literally had NO FLAVOR! It was much smaller than in past years (due to shrinking during cooking). There were hardly any grilled onions - couldn't taste them, either. Very little sauce. Small slice of tomato. One pickle slice. 😡. Hey, In-N-Out OWNERS & MANAGERS!! You are jacking up the prices to being unaffordable. YOU ARE FURTHER INSULTING YOUR CUSTOMERS by compromising the QUALITY & QUANTITY of the food served!!
