I had been holding off to try this place out since there has been quite a few fly-by-night establishments here but been noticing it and has lasted a while so this morning when my appetite called for some spice and flavor I decided to venture into this restaurant for breakfast. My first impression was the pleasant atmosphere, neatness, cleanness, nice mountain view, I observed the server juggle amongst patrons with great attitude and never missing a beat, as the other one was shining the counter glass meanwhile the cook steady putting dishes out. My breakfast came right on time after thoroughly enjoying my coffee and chips accompanied with salsa and a delicious bean dip and yes!!, my omelette was very tasty with nice portions. Sam, the manager made a stop at my table and asked me if everything was okay and told me about the outside seating they are preparing. I think this family restaurant has all the potential to be a keeper for this community...finally!; with me being a karaoke aficionado I told him I will be coming back for my debut here on Friday karaoke night.🎤 December 13th 2021 No sorry not coming back after this ..Yeah that place was full but when she brought my 7 Mates out and then I started eating I noticed the shrimp was old it seemed like it had been boiled over and over it was all dried up is so was the crab legs and I had specifically told her I dislike imitation crab or and this soup had a lot of it and it had a weird flavor I like the one before pandemic I mean I'm glad this place is back in business after the pandemic they closed down for at least a year but they need to fire that cook... this 29 dollar...
Read moreMariscos Ixtapa offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on fresh, flavorful seafood. The molcajete, a traditional Mexican dish served in a volcanic stone bowl, was an absolute highlight. Packed with shrimp, steak, and chicken, it was sizzling hot and bursting with vibrant, smoky flavors. The mix of textures, from tender seafood and protein to the richness of melted cheese and salsa, created a deliciously satisfying dish that left a lasting impression.
Alongside the molcajete, we also enjoyed the margarita flight, which was a fantastic way to sample a variety of flavors. Each margarita was expertly crafted, with a balanced mix of tart and sweet, and the distinct, refreshing flavors of lime, mango, and strawberry added a unique twist. The margaritas complemented the meal perfectly, providing a refreshing contrast to the boldness of the molcajete.
Overall, the experience at Mariscos Ixtapa was exceptional. The food was flavorful, the margaritas were top-notch, and the service was friendly and attentive. Whether you're a fan of seafood or simply looking for a great spot for cocktails and a lively atmosphere, Mariscos Ixtapa is definitely...
Read moreFirst off the wait was about 45 minutes to get a table. It took over an hour and a half to get our food and we were seated by the restrooms, which had a long line. We were hardly checked on, hardly anyone here speaks any english, so that was a bit of a struggle. As my husband and i watched people after us get their food first our frustration grew. The waitress then apologized to us and offered a beer which we dont partake in any alcohol at all. She assured us the food was coming. I thought maybe it would be worth it since it took so long and we were just about ready to leave. The food was nothing special. I could have gone anywhere else for mediocre quality food and to top ot off it was super expensive. In reality what did i pay for? I will not be coming back. Highly disappointed. Parking was also a disaster. Their social media pages are totally misleading too. Forgot to add that their hostess was taking shots at the register. Totally...
