Really enjoyed this place. From Creole, to plant based food, ramen, Mediterranean and burgers there is something for everyone here. I looked at all places before I finally ended up at Pig Pen. All the various choices appeared to be offering top notch IG worthy fair. The ingredients all appeared to be fresh everywhere. I want to try the creole place next. Bignets anyone?? Okay so for my review, it will be for where I actually ate, Pig Pen I ordered the Bacon something burger (will edit when i can find the menu) and the mac flamingo frys (this too I need to edit. Burger: slightly on the salty side and slightly over cooked (even after confirming if I am okay with medium at the register) but over all super good. The brioche was a 7 out of 10, not perfect but not bad, slightly dry. The quality of the beef used was lean but also very delicious. Seasoned well, again slightly on the too salty side but really really good. The onion straws and candies bacon were amazing as well as the bacon spread. The fries were amazing, covered in macaroni and cheese, bacon and crushed flaming hot cheetos I highly recommend this. Fries got soggy really quick so eat them first and fast. I only ate about 60% of my burger and 35% of my fries and was full. Keep that in mind. Eating here is also quite a bit more than a good sit down restaurant so expect to pay big to play with this wild instagram food. The burger and fries were $21 and i topped 15% which i regret as i received no service after making the purchase. Not sure what the tip was for, also seemed forced as you get a guilt trip for not pushing anything on the screen, I'm sure that's intentional and works so hey, go ahead. I personally will not be ripping again. I couldnt justify spending another dollar here so I went with a cup for water... which is the smallest dang cup ever, maybe 4oz or so. Gulped it up quite quickly before even receiving food and then the gal didnt seem too keen on getting me more (she was busy on her phone). Bad deal.
