Edit: The owner reached out and was kind enough to offer my drink be remade and explained what happened. I apologize for being rude and not being more clear. I got a large drink and was charged extra for that. I understand why large drinks cost extra-- that was not my issue. I ask you please note that I did not add the "Hot" option in my order, because the teabags used are brewed with hot water already, and I selected "no ice" for the drink. The "Hot" option upcharge means they will use double the tea bags to make more tea to fill the volume of the cup, instead of using ice to fill half of the volume with water and lower the temperature.
It's clear that the owner is very passionate about her business, and she chooses to engage with criticism in good-faith. I'm appreciative and grateful for that. This definitely improves my impressions of the place.
The menu mainly has dairy-enriched tea and coffee drinks, ice-blended tea and coffee drinks, and tisanes or teas blended with fruity syrups and/or natural flavorings. Lots of options for add-ins, too. If that's your thing, I bet you'll enjoy it.
I got a Large Rose Oolong tea with No Ice, 50% sweetness, and some kind of savory cheese foam for contrast. I wanted to try it with egg foam and have a waffle, but they didn't have those... I asked for substitutes for the waffle hoping for some kind of pastry or sweet, but I was denied that. There were also mistakes made when brewing (or maybe that's how the drink is due to using tea bags instead of loose leaf) because my drink had a pleasant rose flavor with a dominant aftertaste of bitter tannins. Because I ordered "no ice" and didn't order it "Hot," the tea was room temperature and the flavor was milder than I like. Also, the worker forgot my cheese foam.
I love tea! I came here for the tea, So I was a bit disappointed of the outcome. I'm sure if I got something else from the menu then I would have a better first impression. The place is very nice to look at and there are games you can play...
Read moreOne of the best boba places I have been to, I keep coming back again again. It has good vibes, good music and new seating options available. You order on your own at the kiosks available and only have cashless options to pay through. I recommend downloading snackpass if you come here often because everytime you purchase something you rack up points toward a free drink. I attended the reopening event and the new management was friendly and cheerful. Most of the times I've gone the employees greet me cheerfully making the place feel welcoming. Happy that I have this place around to go to. [Edit] the vibes of the place have changed but have not worsened, although I did like the more mellow ambience the place had before. Unfortunately, the quality of drinks has changed. Too often the flavor of my drinks have been off for some time now due to having flavors over other drinks clearly mixed in ( maybe equipment/work areas aren't cleaned enough between different drinks?), drinks are too diluted (I order a hot chocolate & it was clearly made with water making the drink not enjoyable especially with it costing more than an equal size Starbucks hot chocolate), & prices have risen more than $1.50 within the last year (from 5.55 to 7.00 for most drinks, although this may be a result of improvements in the store that I haven't noticed or prices of ingredients & other...
Read more. So I walked in and I've never been here before (but im no stranger to a good boba place) and i wasn't greeted by anyone . So I totally miss the screen where you have to order your drink because my vision isn't the greatest im standing there a few minutes when the lady asks if I have a pickup order for so and so I say no. That was it . So then my boyfriend mentions ohhh you need to order in the screen. But never did I feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. I asked about a free topping since there was a yelp advertisement about a free topping upon check in , and the girl acted annoyed I was even asking her a question she was too busy talking to the guy which BTW was the only friendly one . The drink quality was a 7 out of 10 . Not horribly awful but not the best. The boba was kinda too slimey for my tasting. If im in the area and want a drink, ill go to lees sandwiches they are in the same shopping center. So in all custumer service needs improvement as well as...
