We ran across this place and decided to try it and glad we did. This place is definitely one of our favorite so far. We liked the fact that we were seated right away. Customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and courteous. They checked on us several times to make sure if we needed anything. The place was wasn't as busy, thank goodness, but we did see that they had a lot of to-go orders. The place was nice and relaxing. They had tv screens with music videos for entertainment. What stood out and is the most important was the food! We tried their garlic chicken (if you're a garlic lover, you'll like this) and their bhindi masala (okra). I never liked okra before until I tasted this dish. They gave us a choice and asked how spicy we wanted the food. We don't like hot/ spicy dishes so we asked for mild and it was wonderful. It was mild, but very flavorful. We also tried their gulab jamun dessert (it's like a warm donut in a sweet syrup ). Food was excellent! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes.
Update: We came back during lunch and they have a lunch special for $12.95 that has curry chicken, chicken masala, saag paneer (homemade cheese & creamed spinach), garlic naan (it's like a pita bread), and gulab jamun (dessert). All of this for 1...
Read moreThere r 2 restaurant one near Tyler mall and 2nd on University and I was something like that. Here it goes... This place is small looks congusted, place doesn't look clean like their Tyler mall location. Not only that, u smell sewer as u go towards the bathroom. I don't know if it's real sewar, or someone cut the cheese really bad. I know my spices smell. It's not spicey but it is spicey in it's own special way. Service good, food good. People friendly. But watch out for this one Indian guy. Who will stand by the buffet food, telling people try this n that. I started to wonder, is he trying to be nice helping people or is he trying to get rid of food going bad by evening. They should not have guy pushing certain items on buffet to guests. The place looks very dark. They do need to bring life into the place by changing to lighter colors, carpet etc. Over all it's ok place. Better than eating frozen food. Remember folk, I know this for sure. Any Indian restaurant in US, all their main dishes are either made on Thursday n Fridays. Rest of the week u kn how fresh food u r eating. Only thing fresh u would find is bread. Rest is days old stuff. Cooking Indian food takes lot of time. There's no way, they can cook fresh for...
Read moreI went here to try a different Indian buffet then my usual place and left disappointed. The customer service is HORRIBLE to say the least. As soon as I walked in and got "help" the guy that appeared to be the owner just asked me how many and pointed to a table.
When we sat down no one came to ask what we wanted to drink, eat etc. We got up and got a plate, and still no one asked us what we wanted to drink, how we were doing etc.
Right at the buffet there was an oddly placed table with a man doing what appeared to be their taxes? Extremely strange to have to walk by a table with someone doing taxes while your trying to dine.
The entire time we were there I was the one having to call over what I assumed was the waiter (because no one ever introduced themselves) to get refills, napkins, the check.
This place has multiple workers walking around, Uber eats, door dash etc walking past the dinning area to pick up food, have conversations. Just poor customer service.
The food was mediocre at best and the garlic Naan was burnt. I'll never come back and don't...
