Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Riverview

I visited the new Jersey Mike's location in Riverview,MI. This was the first time I've ever eaten at a Jersey Mike's, so I wasn't sure what to expect. This location is brand new, so the store had a bunch of associates working to allow the orders to be prepared really fast. All of the staff that we interacted with were super friendly and seemed excited to be working in the new store. Now for the sub. I ordered the Jersey Mike's famous Philly cheesesteak. The sub was just o.k. I felt like the sub was lacking substance with the toppings, etc. The rosemary parmesan bread was good and was really fresh / soft. For the combo with a bag of chips and a regular size fountain drink, the price was kind of high for the quality of the sub (about $16-$17 per combo). I just really wanted to shout out the gentleman working here this evening! I always feel guilty when I have to order at jersey mikes because I am gluten free due to allergy/celiac disease. Not only did they make me not feel at all like a bother but they were so thorough with all the precautions for cross contamination! Top notch cleaning of the slicing machine, cutting board, got new gloves, and a new clean knife from the back that they kept separately and in a bag to keep it protected. We’ve been coming here since it opened, subs are delicious, you get a good amount for the price. The atmosphere is great. Everyone is beyond friendly and helpful. The store is clean. They got rid of mushrooms, which I loved but I get that if it’s not ordered enough, it’s not worth keeping on the menu. My one missing star is because a number of times the number of the sub is missing on the subs and we have to open all of the subs and try and figure out whose is whose which is extremely annoying, when my husband is getting ready to leave for work, so he didn’t want to open his subs yet.
