This is the second time with nearly the same experience.! Placed an order online and arrived about 5 minutes after the suggested time on the website. When you enter this location, directly in front of you is a large area for take out orders or you can turn left and get in line to place a dine-in order. Without and clarifying signage, I enter the take out area that already had 3 customers waiting in it. As we wait, one customer received their order and leaves while more customers enter the dine in line and are slowly greeted. If those customers in the dine in line, some are pick up orders so they are either given their order or asked to wait. So now up to 5 customers are waiting in the take out section and newer customers are getting served. The staff is buzzing around so quickly that we can't stop them to ask if our orders are ready. After about 15 minutes, a staff member asks a random customer in the take out area if they've been helped (better question would be may I help the next customer). That person was not next so the two customer that have been waiting longer are obviously bothered be this! Finally I'm able to stop a staff member to ask about my order and it's brought out almost immediately which leads me to think that it was sitting. After about 20 minutes I receive my order and leave while we check the contents in the car. The order is incomplete! We call and are on hold for 16 minutes with no answer so we just go back because we were close. Ok, it was just the cops that were missing so this should be simpler right? WRONG! Go back in with the receipt and the same unorganized traffic pattern is happening. Finally flag someone down and discuss the issue. The staff member says "ok, I'll get that for you" and heads to the back. Somehow, a paper bag of tortilla chips too nearly 10 minutes!!
The store still gets to stars, but only because the food is good. Serve so far is...
Read moreOur first visit was last night. We ordered online with curbside pickup. We used the text link to notify the store that we were on our way. We ordered at 8:14 and the ordered was expected to be ready in 24 mins. It was after 9 pm when we received our order. Upon arrival, we waited and waited. No one ever came out. I went in to get the food and was told it was being bagged. I went back to the car due to having health issues and trying to minimize my exposure to people in public. I came back about 7 mins later. I was told half of my order was not ready because the cook didn't realize it was altogether. I waited another 15 to 20 minutes. I figured my first half of the order would be cold. It was. I checked on the spot where the girl had met me at the door near an outdoor table. The worker said they can "Make it fresh." I went in a third time and waited another several minutes. When I re-entered the vehicle, my husband asked if everything was okay because he witnessed the worker roll her eyes as she headed back into the store with our food. We had spent $50. We expect good service and hot food. However, there seemed to be a bunch of careless young girls in the back while there were five wating customers upfront. We will not be returning. Poor customer service is never an excuse. I am still baffled that I ordered curbside and had to go in to say I'm here. I am insulted by the worker's attitude, and unimpressed by the cold food, which was thrown together as if they were intentionally trying...
Read moreThe young lady at the register was polite and nice. However, I think my issue was the wait time. I'm pretty sure I had to wait on my order for close to an hour. I would see if the place was crowded, but it was not at all crowded. There were a few people there but had been served for the most part. The odd thing was that several people ordered (mind you, they entered after I'd placed my order) and somehow got their food much quicker. I was tempted to ask about my order, but I decided to just wait and see. I should have opted for the former. When they finally got my order to me, I was a bit upset on the inside but tried to maintain a respectful demeanor. I figured that the wait would be the end of it, but that was not the case. The food was just barely warm. I should have checked before leaving, but I figured that it would have been warm since it was brought out after Lord knows how long. I've dined at a Tijuana Flats before and ordered to-go on several occasions (not at this location) and haven't had an issue like this. Not sure what it was, but this was a lackluster visit. It'd be one thing if I waited for hot food, but this was...
