Bubba's 33 — Restaurant in Roanoke

1st time trying this location. Called a day ahead to ensure there would be seating for our family 9 + a baby all at the same table for our dinner at 5:30pm. Was assured that they had a table with plenty of room and that we may have to wait to be seated until 6pm and was warned that they do not seat incomplete groups.

The entire group arrived by 5:15pm. We checked in and verified attendance and began our wait. We were called in for seating at about 5:45pm so not bad. They then took us to 2 separate booths and stated that "They don't even have a table in the building big enough to fit us all at" so they wanted to split the group. When I pointed to the 12 seat table next to the booths the waitress huffed and said the booths were the best she could do. I then pointed out another corner circle booth that holds 8 people and room to pull up additional chairs as they had at the other similar booth she stated they didn't have any servers to cover that particular table. After we were split up they then sat a party of 7 at that same table.

So 3 lies so far..... We all ordered. That waitress never returned. Another took her place and was wonderfully polite and kind.

Food: onion rings that my brother in law ordered to share were lovely. He also ordered fried pickles. They tasted like fish and were put aside.. Most of the main orders didn't arrive until 6:45. Just burgers, salads, and 1 steak. My wife's order arrived at 7:10 and was the wrong dish. The correct dish didn't arrive until 7:35. My bacon cheese burger still hadn't shown up and upon inquiring as to why they had forgotten to make it. They put the order in, it arrived at 7:45 pm and was cooked to medium and I had asked for well done. The waitress and I had a discussion even about how they normally cook to medium well and I made it clear that since it had raw bacon mixed into the patty that I wanted it cooked well done with no pink. Both patties arrived to the table raw in the middle. The waitress saw, agreed that I had requested well done and assured me that the order was placed as such but the kitchen goofed. They remade the burger and I had to take it home in a box since I finally had my food at 8:10pm.... 2hrs 25min after seating and well after everyone else had eaten both appetizers and entrees.

The burger was taken off the bill and the waitress requested the manager to come talk to me to make it right. The manager never came. I paid and tipped 20% and left hungry.

This was my 1st Father's Day celebration. We just had our first child recently. I was there to celebrate my dad and to be honored as well. Bubba's 33 ruined it. The only redeeming quality was our server. Maybe the remade burger will taste ok reheated but that remains to be seen. I will not be recommending this location to anyone and when asked I will be fully honest about my ruined evening. I hope they improve and employ some integrity and professionalism in the...

So I really don’t know where to start with this. Today was our first time going to Bubbas. We knew it was a wait and waited 30 minutes after being told 15/20 minutes, which we were okay with. Well when we got sat down, we sat for 15 minutes before our server Jenny came to greet us. Initially very nice at first , she asked us was this our first time we explained yes. Well we ordered the bubba blue lemonade and waited another ten minutes for her to bring them back to us. She also had a very big party of guests we noticed. Well when we put our order in we asked for the loaded Nacho appetizer. So another 20 minutes goes by she comes back and takes our order. We had to tell her we wanted something else to drink because the lemonade tasted old. So we asked for sweet tea instead. Well she then brought me a unsweet tea and when I asked her where my husbands drink was she sighed like it was a problem. So then he had to wait another 5 minutes for a drink. During this time she literally went back and served her party table 7 times, I counted them. Then 48 minutuEs goes by not a check on us or our food, not a refill or a refresher on drinks. When some one did come out they brought the pizza we ordered which was cold, we had to ask them to take the appetizer off and tell who I assumed the manager was our order so we could get all our food! When we did get our food it was soggy and cold. He came right back with our food. So our food clearly had been sitting in the back and while JENNY stood and served her party table she refused to treat her other guests well! After the manager goes and gets our food she walks up laughing like girl I’m sorry I don’t know what happened to the appetizer I said it’s not funny and this is the worst service I received in a long time. So I will say this my daughter enjoyed her shrimp meal even though her fry’s were cold and a big piece of stem from some one cutting broccoli was left with it. Very disappointed and 80.00 dollars down the drain. The Philly cheese steak sandwich’s might have been good if they weren’t soggy and cold and I feel like managers should definitely help their struggling servers! Jenny had three other tables she just neglected and I hope Jenny didn’t get tipped from none of them ! Worst experience ever and I won’t be going back and hope who ever reads this gives me a full refund because clearly the manager me on duty were okay with the neglect that happened. Absolutely horrible. The worst service I have ever experienced. We had a party of 19 and called ahead to reserve our seats that part was the only good thing we got. They seated us at 4 tables and we had 2 waitresses waiting on us. Half of our party was waited on by a great server but the one we got for our 2 tables was horrible. She took our drink orders and appetizers for the first round was probably the only good thing about the experience. After sitting for about 30 minutes and the one part of our group had done had their orders taken and more drinks brought out and their appetizers our waitress finally came back around in which we all had been out of drinks for awhile took our orders for food and drinks. 20 minutes later we finally get our drinks and she made the comment she just put in our order. 30 minutes goes by and she finally came back around in which we were all out of drinks again and she took our order. 30 minutes later still no drink or food. 2 out of our group finally got some food but yet still no drinks. When one of our group went up front and said something to the manager that they were not waiting any longer for their food. The waitress finally comes to our table and she said the kitchen was backed up but yet the other waitress had already taken care of half of our party and they were done eating and getting their bill. When our waitress came to us finally she said she would pay for our drinks but 4 of the 10 sitting at the table she waited on said they didn’t want to wait any longer for their food but I told her I still wanted my food and drink. 15 minutes later I get my food but still no drink. Half of our bunch told her they wanted their check because they didn’t want to wait anymore. 20 minutes goes by still no drink no check and no waitress came back. You would think after 1 of us went and complained to the manager that they would have come to our table but no didn’t even see them. Absolutely unacceptable and I finally walked out and took my food with me but never got my drink. We got there at 6pm and when I walked out it was 8:30pm and you would think you could get a damm pizza and a drink in less than 2 and a half hours. I’ll never go back to...
