I went to the Valley View store in Roanoke, VA back in October to purchase a “purple” mattress and was basically told I can’t get one and a tempur would be the next best thing. He shoved a $4500 mattress down our throats and announced he had just made $600 commission off of us in 40 minutes as he closed the deal and proceeded to brag that he was the best in the company blah blah blah and that he was so good they let him pick out any mattress set up he wanted. “Tim”promised us the moon and stars but it took me 6 phone calls and 5 visits to that store to get a pillow he promised when we bought the mattress 90 days ago. He never once followed up to see how we liked our new mattress which we HATE and hurt so bad from it that we had to go to a different store and let one of his colleagues clean up his mess. Not only that but every time I showed up to ask about said pillow or ask for the exchange he had no idea who I was or what he had promised me. I got the same run around every time.. didn’t get a truck, not making them anymore due to lack of materials, can’t get it yada yada yada. Never offered a substitute or any customer service. Finally I asked for an alternative pillow and he gave me a replacement. He also failed to mention that there are no refunds and they do not try to accommodate a lower price point when you need an exchange. You have to spend the same amount or more and they don’t throw anything in to absorb any cost no matter the lies we were fed along the way to pay for his commission. It’s a mattress for a mattress and nothing more. It’s a fight to do an exchange. I emailed and called corporate and got no answer, I asked him for his supervisor’s info and his manager’s info and he refused to give it to me. Not happy about this at all. I and my hubby bought this mattress a week ago and we have still been sleeping in our living room as the delivery program they have sucks. The delivery guy could not take the mattress upstairs because it was cold so it was left in our living room with a word that it would be done. Each time we call, so much excuses and today is the worst of it all we were told we will get help to carry it upstairs after 4pm today and we waited and cancelled all our plans including seeing Chris Tomlin concert tonight only for my hubby to call the company around 6pm and was told they will be here tomorrow, Saturday 12/14/18 and he voiced out that we should have been told. Am so angry and highly disappointed because if we were told earlier we wouldn’t have cancelled all our outings I really hope and pray someone shows up tomorrow if not, we will get other options. Not buying from this company until we have a secured delivery system in place. The delivery and communication sucks.*Update on another broken promise of delivery —today, 12/16 broken promises again from the management no one kept their promise neither did we receive any call from them as promised and I and my husband had to pay for someone to carry the mattress upstairs. My wife and I first went to a department store in Roanoke’s Valley View Mall thinking that their online selection of mattresses would be there. Not so! Not in dept stores anymore! Employees there suggested Mattress Warehouse nearby. I had studied mattresses and store reviews in Consumer Reports so I was very hesitant to go. I quickly read reviews on this particular Valley View Mattress Warehouse store and wondered how it got a 4.9 out of 5 star rating. GLAD WE WENT. Read the reviews for this store and you will see Tim’s name all over the place. They were right, and I am right. Great selection all across the board in quality and price. Once we explained what kind of mattress we were looking for, Tim showed us a very comfortable mattress. We talked about our sleep habits, what kind of mattress we currently had, and Tim listened. We tried other mattresses. We settled on one that I am confident will last us many years and will be the most comfortable mattress we have ever had.
