My wife and I visited Heimbaker's today to see if their breakfast is as good as their deli/lunch/dinner options and the answer is a wholehearted YES! We started with the cinnamon roll (huge enough for 2 people to share) and a 20 oz cold brew coffee. The cinnamon roll was baked in house with a soft outside and perfect yeasty balance in the dough. The vanilla icing was generously applied on top, but somehow managed to not overpower the flavor of the roll itself and the cinnamon glaze on the inside, which is outstanding. The cold brew was a great match for the cinnamon roll with a not too sweet, not too strong flavor and smooth finish. Now let's get to the main attractions...my wife had the egg sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant (you choose your meat and type of bread, including sourdough 👍). I had the breakfast taco with egg, cheese, ham, red/green pepper and onion (you choose your meat). The egg sandwich was sublime. The croissant was buttery and flaky and even better, thick enough to hold in all of the good stuff inside without having the croissant fall apart. The breakfast taco was gigantic, as well. The fresh 6-inch flour was filled with scrambled eggs, sliced ham, and thick slices of red/green pepper and onion. Awesome flavor and very filling. Price for our entire meal was a very reasonable $21. We will be...

This place has a really cool atmosphere but there is certainly plenty of opportunities for improvement. Walking in there was a rotten egg smell. The bathroom was very hot and smelt the same.

There was no one at the counter to take our order for at least 10 minutes. There were two tables already seated waiting for for their food. We asked how long they had been waiting and both said it had been a while.

Eventually, the girl came out and took our order. The menus in the restaurant are out of date (they no longer offer 8” sandwiches). We ordered two sandwiches, the club and the felix and the potato salad.

We too had to wait approximately 30min to get our sandwiches. During the wait, the girl would periodically come out to check her personal phone. Which probably isn’t the best especially when you have customers that have been waiting for an extensive amount of time.

The food was ok. The club was kinda bland, the bottom bread was very soggy. But overall wasn’t memorable. The Felix was better, the bread was well toasted and the sandwich was flavorful. The potato salad was not great, pretty bland.

Overall, for two sandwiches and a small cup of potato salad, the total was $32. I would not say the time and quality was...

I came here because word around town is that this place has the best cinnamon rolls. Well holy moly this is beyond truth! These are truly home made cinnamon rolls that are absolutely delightful! I came for cinnamon rolls and also ended up buying a double mean Reuben sandwich which was stellar, definitely got my moneys worth and even left so full I was near food coma

I came for cinnamon rolls and also ended up buying a double mean Reuben sandwich which was stellar, definitely got my moneys worth and even left so full I was near food coma <3 The staff is very kind and welcoming and full of personality. The deli is very clean and welcoming while providing wonderful drink choices including beer and wine. It’s a lovely atmosphere that would be great for extended visits. They have popcorn and blue bell ice cream by the scoop for sale and even sell home made jams, butters, pickles, and pastries to take home. This is an outstanding business and will definitely see me frequently visiting for a solid hearty meal and nice social environment. They also have a patio available for when the weather becomes more hospitable, I just visit in August which is hot as hades at this time of year but am excited to enjoy the patio in the fall.

Wow! My sister and I are blown away and seriously kicking ourselves for not coming in sooner! We have lived down the street for the last two years and just now got the opportunity to check this place out and now it may become an active staple in our lives! The grocery selection for things like farm fresh eggs, pasta noodles, wines, ice cream, and so on is enough to get us to keep coming back. BUT THE FOOD. We got the breakfast bowl and the egg sandwich for an awesome price and it was worth so much more! Plus, the staff (possibly the owner) were the kindest people in DFW! Please go check them out!!!
