This was my first time eating at this K&W. I had eaten at the one in Salem before it closed years ago.
Pros: Selection was good. Several main dishes to choose from and lots of sides and even salad selections. This was lunch for us. I got fried whiting (fish), ranch potatoes and water. My wife got a seven layer salad, veal Parmesan, green beans, and water. My daughter got fried chicken thigh and leg, fried okra, macaroni salad, roll, and water. All of this was only $33. If we had gone to Bojangles or Arby's we would have paid roughly the same amount. This was a great lunch and it was just as quick as "fast food".
Cons: My wife and daughter's meals were great. We tried each other's. However the fried whiting was very heavy and a little too oily. That's the only negative I can say about the food.
The waitress was there, but she didn't do much for the short time that we were there. I had to go find silver wear because they had just run out when we got to the line. So I didn't leave a tip because we essentially didn't have a waitress.
Facilities This was the worst part. I work in maintenance and I know how hard it is to get good qualified maintenance personnel. They really need one or two badly. Sticky tile and dingy carpet. This could really elevate the eating experience if the floors were better kept up and cleaned.
I give it a 4 star rating because even though the floors needed cleaned, can you really go anywhere else for a quick set down meal for lunch that doesn't have some cleanliness issues? They are rare. So I give them 4 and hope they read this and work on some of the maintenance related issues.

Read moreI usually go in here a good bit. But, the last time I went the food was packaged so carelessly, I decided not to go back. I then end up two weeks later with a charge to my debit card. Bad food or packaging, I can handle, I know it was my choice. A fraudulent charge, I will not and won't handle. I called them on Saturday when I noticed the charge which was the same day it was made. I spoke with a lady who claimed to be manager but she said she couldn't do anything about it, she didn't handle things like that. She didn't even bother to look it up or try to look it up and it was the same day. She took my number and told me that Monday the manager that handles things like that would be in and would call me back. Flash forward to Tuesday afternoon, I have heard nothing from no one and the charge is still pending. So, I call the bank and the bank tells me the charge came from this location and the day it was made. They can't do anything until it hard posts on the account. So, I call back K and W. I get hung up on and at this point I was so mad, I had someone else call for me. So, the other person calls right back, gets the same manager. They say they spoke to their district manager who is all the way in SC and he sees the charge, but they can't. They continued to explain even though I didn't authorize the charge they weren't going to do anything about it. SO DM MR. JOHN ROBERTS IN SC, give me a call or a response or something. But don't be shady. The good people of VA need to know who really is running the whole operation. Wasn't even offered food or anything for something I didn't do. This is not the way business...
Read moreFood delivered is so inconsistent. Correct one time and horribly wrong the next time. For example 2 weeks ago I ordered 2 entrees with 6 sides. I only received 3 sides 1 correct and 2 incorrect. The other 3 didn't get. AT ALL.Reordered those 3 missing sides that had juices. They were slopped into 1 styrofoam box together running onto each other. Last night ordered Turkey and dressing with gravy. Received a dry grilled chicken with dressing on top and maybe a tablespoon of gravy. The potatoes with gravy and stewed cabbage again was slopped into same box. Everything was blended in to each other. Horrible. Manager said he would look into the first order. Well it happened again. There was no indication on paper AND electronic receipt that Turkey was being substituted with chicken. And normally deliverer will call and ask if I still want it.Also the manager tried to blame the delivery service about the orders prepared by the restaurant He stated that the deliverer was supposed to go through the order and make sure it is correct. NO NO NO!!! Their only job is to pick it up and get it to me. I don't want a non restaurant person rifling through my food. Not their job. This manager needs to take responsibility for his employees and what goes on in and out of his restaurant. There are a lot of 1 ratings on delivery apps. Maybe deliveries aren't as important to him.
