Nick's Junction — Restaurant in Roanoke

Always great food that is served hot and fresh! My most recent visit, in August, left something to be desired. My husband and I waited almost 40 minutes for food that never came. We watched people arrive after us getting their food. We had ordered biscuits and gravy, fried eggs, bacon... Pretty basic stuff that we saw coming out to other people. We asked our waitress what the hold up was. She never came back..... My husband grabbed her attention as we were getting ready to leave and all she said was that our ticket got passed over. There was never any attempt by anyone to make things right with us. They let us just walk out acting like it didn't matter. We have visited this establishment many times but after this we may never go back.

10/20/19 After taking a bit if time away we decided to give Nick's another shot and we were not disappointed. The food was great as always and the service was back to what we had come to expect and enjoy from previous visits. I'm glad that we decided to come back and plan to make them a regular stuff...

The food was good but other things can change an experience.

If I'm tipping a server why should I carry my bill to a register then have to return to the table to tip my server? I've always hated when a place utilizes this practice. It also gives people the ability to leave without tipping a server.

Your only open till 2 and you stop making pancakes and things made with batter after 11a.m....Why?

You don't sell Apple juice. Kids can't typically drink acidic juice like grape fruit and orange.

Had to ask for my to go box. Once my server gave me my food I never saw her again. This also happened to someone else that posted here looks...

Just passing through and decided on a nearby diner. Cute and clean spot. Waited over 45 minutes for an omelet and an egg sandwich and potatoes. Wait staff forgot to take our order after seating and taking orders from individuals that arrived after us. Three tables received their food before us and they arrived after we arrived. The coffee and egg sandwich were very good but there were no potatoes. The omelet was watery and was unable to be finished. Though the omelet was comped, it felt as though since we weren't regulars that we were not...
