OK, let's be honest. If you're shopping Duluth you don't need me to tell you the great quality of their goods. What you might not know is that the quality of this particular store's personnel are an even higher caliber than the products they sell. Every time I'm in this store I encounter friendly, pleasant and helpful associates. Recently, I had one deliver such excellent customer service that I had to write this review. I was in-store shopping a VIP sale the other night. I purchased several hundred dollars of merchandise (and every associate was so helpful!). When I got home, I was reviewing my receipt and noticed that one of the items that was supposed to be discounted was rung up at full price. I immediately phoned the store. Naturally, as it was a big sale night, no one was available to take my call, but I was able to leave a voice message. I gave the details and a call back number. The next day, shortly after opening time, Dale phoned to tell me that he'd already pulled up my transaction, saw the incorrect charge and how he would fix it. He also apologized for the inconvenience and said that he'd let me know when he was able to complete the credit. The very next morning, he phoned again (although I missed this call) and left me a message saying that he was successful in processing the credit and no further action would be necessary on my part. He sent me an email confirming the credit, too. When I reviewed the email, I noted that Dale actually extended me a little more credit than I expected. THIS is customer service! I phoned the store to thank Dale for his follow-up, but he was not handy to the phone. I asked the person who answered to please thank him for me, and I told her just how much I appreciate the level of service he provided. I complimented all of the employees to her and said that this is why I love to shop at Duluth Trading Company. On September 24, 2023, I bought the AKHG Meltwater Pants from the Robinson Township store. To my relief, they fit perfectly in-store. However, to my astonishment, after just one wear inside my house, they stretched out ridiculously—resembling a 4XL 36 rather than the size I had chosen.
On September 26, I attempted to contact customer service, only to be greeted with long wait times due to insufficient staffing. After what felt like forever, I finally had a 30-minute conversation with a representative named Barb. She reassured me that I could return or exchange the pants in-store the following evening without any hassle.
Acting on this assurance, on September 27, I sent my wife to handle the return as I was otherwise occupied. She was met with nothing short of rudeness. The store manager, Jenna, blatantly refused the return, accusing us of staining and wearing the garment. This was simply not the case.
The debacle didn't end there. After making 10 more calls in an attempt to resolve the matter, I've come to a realization: the brand I once trusted has let me down profoundly. I've been left with a product that is of no use to me and a bitter taste of betrayal from a company I was loyal to for so long. I was even promised a phone call from the district manager on three separate occasions- this has yet to occur.

I get the confirmation email stating we’ve received your order and we’re currently hustling to get ready for you. Will send you another email With tracking information just as soon as your order ships. I went into my trading app and the only thing I see is that it was labeled. This is a week later so I call and I get the excuse. There’s been a human and it’s laying somewhere still at their facility with the label on it, this is the second time in a row that I bought over $300 in my purchase and they can’t manage to get it out of their facility using the excuse that it’s Human error . I understand human error, but I also understand that they have to be able to correct those human errors. If I had not called to find out where my husband‘s work pants were, they would be still sitting in the warehouse, apparently they believe that if your order doesn’t show up after certain amount of time or you don’t get any movement other than it has a shipping label you need to call them and sit on the line for 22 minutes while you wait to talk with somebody. if you don’t make that call they just remain in limbo.
