My family and I went to eat there since we were craving Italian food. We were seated in the center of the section directly, underneath the barrels above us. We were waiting for our waiter while looking at the menu. After 20 minutes to almost half an hour without any service, we began to wonder where our waiter was. The manager and another man dressed in a blue shirt were standing right in front of us but were not attending to our table. We noticed that other tables were being served, yet no one approached us. Frustrated, my dad decided to speak with the manager and explained that we hadn’t been assigned a waiter despite our long wait. The manager assured us he would send someone over. A few minutes later, a lady came to our table and said, "I'm not a server, but I will help you now" I ordered a peach bellini, while my dad chose a green apple sangria and my brother ordered a Coke. For the appetizer, we had calamari. I ordered chicken marsala along with soup. My dad and brother both opted for the steak gorgonzola pasta dish, also with soup. The appetizers arrived first, and then the drinks came—unfortunately, the peach bellini was awful; it was sticky and warm. I had never been disappointed with an alcoholic drink until that moment, though the green apple sangria was good. When the entrees arrived, everything turned out to be overly salty. The chicken, mashed potatoes, and steak were well done, while the pasta was undercooked. My dad, brother, and I found it difficult to eat our meals. To make matters worse, my dad's soup had a hair in it. The waitress was nowhere to be found, and the service seemed to be focused more on other customers. I noticed that elderly white customers who arrived after us were receiving much better treatment—they were served quickly and with more attention. The manager, who had a stain on his shirt, approached us and spoke softly so that no one else could hear. We shared with him our worst experience at the restaurant, and as a result, he comped our bill. We couldn’t take the risk of ordering dessert because everything we had was salty and disgusting. We went to Cold Stone to get the awful salty taste out of our mouths. However, my dad had to deal with some issues in the bathroom. I don’t have a gallbladder, so my stomach was hurting. Fortunately, my brother had some ice cream to help me feel better. Honestly, the money we would have spent on dessert was better off being used at Bravo. Bravo is unbeatable; their food, service, and drinks are far superior. From now on, we will only go to Bravo and will never return to Olive Garden. Also, How are you going to improve food, and service as a manager, if you can not...
Read moreI have always loved this place but haven't gone for a long time due to distance, wait time (with no call ahead seating) and covid, but this month I went (on a Saturday later evening) i was not very pleased. There was no wait time and I loved our booth corner table. However, idk if the waitress was new or what but every thing took FOREVER. It wasn't busy most of the time that she could of came over or got what we needed. She literally forgot stuff every trip back and would go all the way back for another long time and come back with the straws we got super late and not our appetizers, or come with the breadsticks we had to ask her for and not my side of ranch that I asked for 3 times. My fave part of going is the unlimited salad and breadsticks but it took way too long to even come that we didn't even have time to get a 2nd serving. I got a strawberry on margarita and my toddler wanted it so I asked the waitress if she could just have 1 strawberry from the bar. She came back and forgot, then asked if we wanted a side of them. We said yea sure but anyone would kno that they Have them at the bar. By the time my toddler got them it was time for the dinner food and she didn't really even want them. (But like I said, she seemed somewhat new and maybe too young to kno about the fruit under the bar.) Then I didn't really like my chicken marsala bc last time I got it, it was served with pasta and marsala sauce, mushrooms and red peppers. This time had no peppers or mushrooms, and no reg pasta it came with a side of Alfredo which I really didn't want that night and didn't even care for. The marsala sauce was ok not my fave. Other than that trip, every other time...
Read moreBest friend and I travelled from Windsor, Ont. to Burgettestown, Pennsylvania to take in the Mumford & Sons concert May 24, 2017. On our way home the next day, we decided to stop in at the Olive Garden for a quick lunch. Absolutely amazing service! They truly treated us like royalty! Of the hundreds of restaurants we've dined at over the years, this Olive Garden tops them all, easily! The chef came to our table and after a short and pleasant discussion, prepared the absolute best sautéed vegetables and chicken over noodles with a sweet red wine sauce! My description does his dish no justice! You'd have to see/taste it to believe it. He also personally delivered it to our table himself. I should probably mention that I've never posted a review before. I felt compelled to give this review because if any restaurant deserves high praise, many accolades and a 5 star rating... It is this Olive Garden. Sadly, I cannot remember the name of the chef, nor our waitress, who was kind enough to introduce us to the chef, which led to the amazing dish in the first place! Might I add, the dish prepared for myself was not on the menu. IT SHOULD BE!!! Best food ever!!!! If you stop by for a bite to eat, ask for the dish the Canadians had Thursday, around noonish, May 25, 2017. If he'll be so kind as to prepare it for you, you'll go back for it again, and again, and again. If that dish isn't for you, you'll go back because they treat you so well! To the "chef with no name". Thank you! You...
