Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Robstown

Warning long review, very detailed. For those who don't wanna read it in a nutshell They'll skim off the top of your sides instead of giving a large the five you three regular size containers with meals. Unless you order a large side separately those do come in a large container Might now have the chicken you want readily available. Soda machine only has diet options, have to ask staff to fill your cup with desired drink from the drive thru machine (Deal breaker) The place is disgusting, dirty tables, obvious water damage on the wall and the restrooms look like they've never seen a cleaning product in all of their days

I usually don't like writing negative reviews since it could just be a bad day or something. Like benefit of the doubt type of thing. But not today! I really do regret not taking photos. But whatever anyway, I'm giving this location a generous one star because the food was hot. Everything else was a mess they should rename this Popeyes the hot mess express of Robstown. We ordered a 12 pc spicy and that comes with two large sides we got red beans and rice and mashed potatoes and gravy. I also order an extra large side of green beans. My father and I got water cups and my brother got a small soda. This location had the touch screen fountain drink dispenser and the only options were diet this and zero that. None of the regular drink options like coke, Dr Pepper, sprite etc. And when this was called to their attention they just filled the drink in the back in the drive thru area. After we waited about 5 minutes one of the employees tells us there's a 12 minute wait on spicy chicken if we would like to wait or switch to mild cause they had that. I wish they would've said something when I was ordering because I would've just cancelled the order and left. So since we didn't want to wait we switched to mild and to some it might not be a big deal but since I paid for spicy chicken I expected spicy chicken. So 2 minutes later our comes the food I notice the two large sides that are supposed to come with the 12 pc meal are in fact not in the large sizes portioned cups but in three regular sized cups and my green beans were in the large cups. We left it alone because we just wanted to eat and leave. We opened the mashed potatoes and there was a teaspoon of gravy in them so we went back up there and politely asked for more gravy and we were told it would be an extra 25 cents for each thing, we responded saying there's isn't any gravy in there the man responded saying that he was going to do it this time but next time he was gonna charge us. As if we were going to come back. That really pisses off my dad because we let those two other things slide and now they wanna nickel and dime us for gravy. The last thing that just made this probably the worst Popeyes I've even been to was the sanitation or lack of thereof. The restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the day it opened, there was water all over the floor, stained floors and in the corners there was crud the sinks had a black tint like there was grime. And when walking in you see a wet floor sign not because they've just mopped but because there's water leaking from the wall in the main building and in the restrooms. There's obvious water damage in the building. I'm not a health inspector just someone with eyes and standards and if you are too I'd recommend you wave at this place as...

If I could I would give this place half a star. I went in early Sunday morning to get a box of chicken for a work crew. Nobody was at the counter, I'm like ok it's early. There was chicken already made that looked cold & old probably the nights before. I asked the cashier for a boxed of FRESH mixed chicken. She just looked at the register, I Daud again . You gonna drop it fresh , she handed me , my change. I said I don't want old chicken. Please make it fresh She said, ok and handed me my change. I waited for a good 10- 15 min. She called out my receipt, I got the bag saw the old chicken missing from the rack. I said again , it's fresh huh? She said, yes. Took it to the crew. Where they sent me pictures of the old, cold, nasty chicken. I went back to popeyes to find out the cashier was actually the manager. Who lied in my face, talking about I put that on my kids it was fresh chicken. No ma'am I got the pictures, these people aren't lieing. I said the old chicken was gone, what did you do with it, she said I gave it to other people. She was lieing and put it in my box. She told the cook to remake my order grabbed her little backpack her car keys and left...smh...If this is your manager running this...

This Popeyes is superb. Went to the 5 points location 4 times looking for the new spicy chicken sandwhich. This Popeyes had it, no problem. Went through the drive through, and ordered me 1 spicy chicken sandwhich. Each one is made fresh to order, so I pulled out front and went inside to wait. My order was ready fast, like 15 minutes. I have to say, I'm really impressed with this Hodgetwins invented sandwhich. The Hodgetwins came up with the idea for this sandwhich, and I Popeyes stole it from them. They've been saying for a long time on the Hodgetwins eating videos on YouTube, for Popeyes to come out with this sandwhich. And they finally did it. They should at least give them credit for it. The lobby of this Popeyes was nice and clean, and it felt cool in there temperature wise. I decided to eat inside. Great Popeyes to visit. They had an all male crew working. Will visit this particular location again. Thanks Popeyes. But please give Keith and Kevin Hodge some credit for...
