I only write reviews when it is necessary and worth my time. My experienced at Jersey Mike was a lesson learned. It was my first time ordering a sandwich from them and I truly regretted it. I have never heard of them until my daughter recommended that I should try their meatless or veggie sandwiches. Usually I get sandwiches at Panera Bread, Food for Life Deli or other vegetarian places around the area. I have never had any problems with these other places they services were always exceptional. But, since I was in town I decided to stopped at Jersey Mike in Rochelle Park to try out their veggie sandwich. As soon as I walked in I was able to ordered a veggie sandwich without waiting in line. Literally, I was the only customer. So, I ordered a veggie sandwich on whole wheat bread from the guy who took my order trusting that everything was fine. A few minutes later a girl came to me and gave me my sandwich. Normally, I would checked the bag but I didn’t bothered to so I left. On my way to my appointment I was stuck in traffic and decided to have half of the sandwich while waiting in traffic and the other half at home. I was terrified when I opened the wrapper and saw meat, onions and a brownish coloring all over the bread and wrapper. Immediately, I realized that the guy gave me a meat sandwich instead of a veggie sandwich. I drove back to Jersey Mike after I called and delayed my appointment to an hour. After I arrived at Jersey Mike, I saw the guy who took my order. I said to him that, you gave me a meat sandwich instead of a veggie sandwich. I was shocked when he said, “you ordered a Philly sandwich.” I said, why would I do that? I’m a vegetarian. I tried not to get annoyed because he repeatedly said that I ordered a Philly sandwich. I said, maybe you didn’t hear me over the loud music but I paid for a veggie sandwich and you gave me a Philly sandwich. He continued to serve a customer and avoided to addressed the issue. So, I demanded that he give me the veggie sandwich because I paid for it. He continued to say, you ordered a Philly sandwich. I was persistent he corrected his mistake and takes responsibility. Finally, he came to his senses, and apologized to me, then made me the veggie sandwich. The fact that he knew he had made a mistake but instead of politely saying, I am sorry and fixed it. This incompetent guy refused to accept the fact that he made a mistake and wanted me to be responsible for it. I’m glad that things didn’t escalated over a sandwich I paid for. I was very disappointed with the service and I wish I didn’t give a tip. He doesn’t deserved it. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and I will not recommend or eat again at any Jersey Mike in the future. I have suffered great inconvenience after delaying and showing up late to my appointment....
Read moreIf I could give less than one star I would. Walked in to get a sub. Probably about 5 people in line at this point. Looks like they are doing a to go order so no one is paying attention to the customers waiting in line. One girl walks in, and the girl behind the counter with the glasses yells her name, then starts making her sub, while everyone else is waiting in line. The girl pays and leaves, then a man in line approached the counter (talking, not yelling) and said that it wasn't fair that crystal got her sandwich while all of us wait in line. Some gentleman behind the counter started aggressively yelling at the man saying that they couldn't use the slicer because someone else was using it for another order and that Crystal (the girl who got her sandwich before us) didn't need to use the slicer for her sandwich. As far as they know, none of us needed the slicer but they would not know that as they payed ZERO attention to us and all attention to their buddy (I did not need the slicer lol). It was an absolute disaster. 6 of us got out of line and left. You NEED to manage your staff better because that was SO unprofessional on all aspects and I can confidently say that the 6 people who got out of line will not be back. You lost 6 customers in 30 seconds due to entitlement and unprofessionalism,...
Read moreI will not be going back to this establishment. Maybe ordering online is a better option so the order is written out...I Waited about 5 minutes for one of the 2 workers, who were not making sandwiches at the time to take my order. When I said my order, Chicken Philly cheese steak and Buffalo chicken, I had to correct them 3 times that I didn't want a regular cheese steak, I want the number 16. I also requested multiple times that I don't want tomato on the buffalo chicken. Took another 5 minutes before anyone started cooking the sandwiches, they seemed it was more important to shake hands and chat with their friend that just came in. After 25 minutes I finally got the sandwiches, went home, opened up the sandwiches and to my surprise, a regular cheese steak and a buffalo chicken with tomatoes on it. I really didn't have high expectations for any type of "fast food" around here, but I was still disappointed with lack of basic communication skills. I'm sure there are other kids in the area that are willing to work and at least be able to take an...
