National Coney Island - Rochester Hills — Restaurant in Rochester Hills

I ordered curbside pickup yesterday at 6:30 pm then arrived at the store & called in at 6:40 pm to let them know I was there if/when my order was ready. First I was put on hold for over 5 minutes so I hung up and called back two more times because no one was answering. Finally the 3rd time after many rings I go through & was told in a rude manner that they were waiting on my food and it would be out shortly. Proceeded to wait about 18 more minutes so I went inside. There were two servers and as I waited by the door I watched as at least two servers, a manager, and a cook reached around a carry out bag sitting on their counter several times and no one was interested in finding out where it goes. After several minutes of standing at the counter, they asked if I needed help. Once they found out, I was given my bag of food that had been sitting on the counter for at least 20 minutes. After explaining the full situation to the manager and he verified that the food was made shortly after my order time of 6:30 pm, well it's now about 7:15 pm. I had to ask them to remake the old food which the manager did and I appreciate it. Lastly, I should have checked my bag before leaving but part of my order was cheese fries with cheese on the side...well I got the fries in the bag with the main food and instead of cheese, I got an order of some kind of soup wrapped up in a separate smaller bag. From coneys to burgers to grilled cheeses to the Hani special, I've tried a lot of things on the menu and they're all pretty tasty. It's a good place to sit down and grab a quick bite to eat. The one major caveat is that if you plan to visit here for dinner, I highly suggest that you do so at least 2 hours before the place closes. I've been there many, many times after 6:30pm and despite there always being several tables still seated and the hours listed as closing at 8pm (on weekdays), most days it feels like much of the staff is much more interested in getting a head start on cleaning the restaurant so they can leave ASAP than properly serving their customers. My most recent visit involved someone getting my order wrong, and then when I asked to have it corrected, the cook just lazily scraped off most of the part I hadn't wanted and gave it back. I understand the desire to want to be able to leave at closing time after a long day, but when it interferes with the service, that's a problem. Don't get me wrong, I really do like the place otherwise, but I think I'll just stick to lunchtime...

Bacon was over cooked and super thin like it looks like they took regular bacon and cut it in half. I asked my waitress for it to be redone cause it looked burnt and you don't get bacon with a breakfast it's $4 extra for meat with your pancakes which is insane since the pancakes taste like the just add water kind. They don't bring out napkins with your meal and dishes could be cleaned better. She told me it was water marks but I've worked in a kitchen if cleaned properly they won't have that. Oh and when the manager came to talk to me she talked like I was slow telling me I should have said I want limp bacon who says that and why is it my job to know the lingo when I say I don't want it crispy that should be enough for them to know I don't want it burnt and the waitress should be smart enough to tell the cool what I want instead of them cooking bacon 3 times before getting it right.
