Tables 42 Check # 53154 Family of 7
Red lobster had been a family favourite for years. We grew up as kids coming in for family dinners, we started coming in as teens with Friends for fun nights, we kept it going as couples and then parents with our children. Yesterday we are appauled by the rude discriminatory behaviour displayed by Ethan and the blonde haired server . Ethan messed up the order and instead of the salmon bowl got a chicken bowl for me. Instead of fixing the order, he comes out and says if I would be ok taking the order off chicken in lieu of the salmon, clearly the answer was no from me. He insisted , and said if I was sure I could take it- seriously ! I ordered salmon I want salmon was my stance, he proceeded by saying well that’s gonna take another 20 to 30 minutes. Everybody else will be served and you would have to wait.. The attitude, the lack of concern , and no remorse, for his mistake was extremely disrespectful. Everybody on the table was served except me. Nobody came to check on the table or to tell me how long the food would be taking as I continue to wait patiently no one checked in on the table to ask if the food was OK for the other members that were served, no water refills , after being asked several times. Finally taking bits and pieces off others plates for filling my hunger and losing my appetite for a meal. I stopped Ethan and asked how much more longer will the meal be taking and if we could get water, without making eye Contact and shrugging his shoulders, he says I’ve been busy and walks off without even stopping by the table to listen to what we have to say . Finally, the food was bought out by another blonde haired server who slammed the plate on the table,When I said I would like to speak to a manager because it’s had been 45 minutes to my entrée and everybody else from the family had eaten and was ready to leave , she had an abrupt attitude, aggressive voice and hostility around her and said, do you want to eat or not? I said, what do you think and she slammed the plate on the table and left. It had been 45 minutes with no attention on the table , both Ethan and this blonde haired server exhibited discriminatory behaviour, which was more than obvious from their body, language, voice, tone, and actions. Ethan, being the server table, never approached us throughout our stay, and when the manager was called in to hear our concerns, we were told that they are shortstaffed, and therefore the mixup in the food. Being shortstaffed, I understand it’s a business problem exhibiting discriminatory behaviour and hostile attitude towards customers that were paying for their meal and have been loyal customers for red lobster for the past 22 years is not acceptable. That is not a part of the business that is not a part of red lobsters, customer service while I will be taking up this experience on Google, I’m hoping to hear back from the corporate office and making sure that this behaviour is not repeated to any other customer who is walking into red...
Read moreI am extremely upset with the customer service I received tonight 3/13 at the Rochester Hills location from the manager. I had not been to Red Lobster in over a year and decided to try the Monday night shrimp special. My table service was AMAZING! Tasha went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was great. I definitely appreciated her gentle approach as it was almost closing time. I did not feel rushed and Tasha assured me that we could take our time and enjoy our meal. I was so happy with her service that I planned to return for a weekend gathering with friends. WELL all of that changed when I went to the front desk to speak with the manager just to inform her that her staff (Tasha) was amazing, and I was so pleased with our dining experience. Not only was she very rude, nasty, and condescending she had the audacity to yell at me and asked me "What was I doing in there? They are closed, and who let me in the door." I was so taken aback at her approach especially since I had my to-go bag in my hand. I asked her what she was talking about and informed her that I was already in the building. She proceeded to embarrass me and continued to talk at me as if I wasn't a paying customer. I have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my entire life. A woman at the bar turned around to see what all of the commotion was and all I could do was turn around to walk away stating that my only purpose was to come up and commend Tasha for her service. I'm extremely disappointed and upset about the way I was treated and needless to say I will not return to this establishment to dine. Tasha asked us to come back and visit her and unfortunately if that is how customers are treated by management I don't see many people returning. I plan to share my experience with ALL of my family and friends and my entire social media platform. NO PAYING CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED IN...
Read moreWent to Red Lobster on a Wednesday. Ordered the special lobster & steak (med well). Husband ordered ultimate feast with a steak cooked the same way. It took a minute to get our food and the could immediately tell the steaks were over cooked. Like the steak was beyond well done. My husband said his steak was over cooked, rice was hard and the shrimp scampi was over cooked as well. Waitress was very helpful. I got my steak recooked to med. by the time it came out I was done with my meal. Took two bites of the steak and it still didn’t taste right. Husband said the same about his food. Just didn’t seem good or fresh. Waitress had the manager take money off the bill and first said she was only gonna take 10% off then said they removed my meal from the bill. So they took of $25 and my bill was still $80 even though my husband didn’t eat his steak, rice or overcooked shrimp. We literally left there and spent another $30 on fast food because we barely ate a full meal. This is why these restaurants keep closing because you barely have the staff to keep it running. The waitress explained to us how they only had one cook and how the mgr was baking the biscuits (that were BEYOND dry) when we got them. I try to still support even though I know service is slow and was still understanding of the issues. But to still have to spend $80 for a meal we barely ate is insane. Literally spent $120 on food because of the terrible food being served. And I normally don’t complain because I know it’s been hard to keep workers after the pandemic but to not be sympathetic to this situation and realize our entire meals was not good or fresh is crazy as a manager to not show your face and even apologize. I WILL...
