You have to know what you like and what's good/not good.
The real star here is brand new... their large $4.00 chewy cookies. If you have tried their regular cookies before and disliked them (I have, regretted buying their regular cookies--hard & rather tasteless) then I implore you to give their new cookies a chance. Seriously. Yes, I know they're $4 each, but they are worth every single penny.
They are absolutely delicious, to the point that I wish I'd gotten more, and I know I'll be getting them over the macarons and other pastry options for the foreseeable future. The pumpkin cheesecake cookie changed my life. (Okay, a bit of an exaggeration. But it was REALLY good. I refused to even share mine.) Seriously, run, don't walk, for these new big cookies. I cannot wait to see what other seasonal flavors they come up with. Just writing this review has me wishing I could head out to Blossom to get another one.
Macarons: Their specialty! Lots of unique flavors which rotate. They are pricey, but, they're macarons. Good crispness and chewiness. Nicest macarons you'll get in the area. They can be very sweet, it would be interesting if they tried out some less sweet flavors.
Bubble tea: A mixed bag. In my opinion their bubble tea flavors are too weak and not flavorful enough. No matter what flavor I get, it's just a vague sweet flavor, which shouldn't be the case. I wish you could ask for extra scoops of the powder, because all of them taste too watered down, even if you don't get ice. However, the tapioca pearls are always on point, nice and chewy. Especially compared to other bubble tea places in the area which always serve them way too hard.
The cafe itself is finally open, so if you like to hang out inside, you'll be happy to know that! My only criticism is the pick up table... it's an odd tiny corner table with no sign that it's for pick-ups, and my pick up order didn't even come in a bag so it was awkward to carry my pastry items. It should be a larger obvious table with a sign, and bags for sure!
Overall, Blossom is good for some things, not so much for others. But seriously. Go try the new big cookies, you...
Read moreLet’s talk food and drink and then I’ll talk panoramic related stuff bc hopefully there will be a time where the latter is no longer relevant.
I stopped by and got a lavender black milk tea bubble drink and 2 macarons. It’s been awhile since I’ve had lavender milk tea and theirs was pretty good. Sadly, there was a lot of ice and I wasn’t a fan of their boba, too hard, but now I know for next time, no boba, no ice.
I got a fruity pebbles and a thai tea macaron. They were pretty good, but not quite the snap and mouth feel I’m used to.
Overall, a pretty good experience and I’ll definitely be back, especially with it being right by my local Meijer.
I appreciate that they’re still taking a lot of safety with the panny and you must order ahead. Thankfully, if you’re already in the parking lot, you can call or use their website and it’s no longer than 5 minutes after the order is placed before a staff member sets it on their outside pick up table with a cute note, if you indicate you’re right outside (and there’s not orders ahead of you, I assume).
The one downside of this: if you’re a millennial like me and hate phones and use the website instead, please note that their website has some funky stuff going on. A drink that can’t have milk substitutions lists milks subs as an option. Why would I, as a first time customer who’s never been in person, know any different? There’s not even any text mentioning this. Similarly, the macarons you must manually adjust the number yourself after selecting the flavors. I did go back and check and they did at least have text about that one that I did miss, but being flustered by not being able to go in, it might have been better if this were set up differently (radio button + ability to change quantity?), but I also recognize that having someone work on your website costs money and/or maybe they tried that already and it was...
Read moreI don't even know where to start. As I walked into this "business," it felt like walking into a dentist's office. My eyes were blinded by the white walls. I looked around the corner to see if there was an extension in addition to the four-foot section they had in the front of the "bakery." To my amazement, it was a large white wall. I was dumbfounded. I went up to the front and asked if this was all they had for the bakery section, and the girl at the counter said yes. I would have taken a picture, but I did not want it to last longer. So, I went ahead and ordered the so-called bakery items. After taking my first bite, I couldn't help but spit it out. The cookies, brownies, and macarons tasted incredibly dry and bland, lacking any sort of flavor. If you're looking to subject someone to an awful experience, whether it be a colleague or someone you know, I suggest sending them here. The name of the establishment is misleading as it suggests that it's a bakery, but in reality, it's not; it's a four-foot section wall with two clear plastic shelves that have very few items on it. Additionally, the prices are unreasonably high for what you're getting. I will not be back here. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere at a...
