On 10/8/2020 a party of 10 (8 adults 2 children) went to the 16th St. SE in Rochester, MN. The manager refused to seat us in close proximity or let us use the patio to eat. She was worried about losing two or three customers to accommodate us. They said it is rules and regulations from the city and state of Minnesota on the seating. If these rules and regulations need to be followed so closely then why weren't they abiding by the states mask policy rule wearing them under their noses (not just one but all the girls upfront).
After spending 10 minutes trying to make it so we could sit close we left and went to the 55th St. BWW who allowed us to sit close enough where we could talk from table to table. The food was cold when it arrived at our table and another party mentioned their sandwich was dry. The waiter however was spot on refilling our drinks etc. We split the bill in two and two parties paid for it on two different credit cards with two different banks. We left cash tips on both tables $20 one table and $21 on the other table.
On 10/9/2020 I checked my bank statement showing I was charged $22.60 extra on my card over the original charge and the other party had been charged the correct amount on their card. Neither of us had entered a tip being we had left cash. One was xxx'd out and the other was $0.00. I called and asked to speak to a manger, Daniel. I gave him our table numbers, card charges, time of day. He stated he would investigate it and get back to me. He returned my call and could not understand why I was assessed over 30% in a charge, and did state that a $10 tip had been taken on the other card even though the final figure did not agree with the tip. He felt that the waiter had mistaken the second line in the dollar sign as a 1 but had not verified the final figure. He suggested I contact my bank as to why I was charged an extra $22.60 as he felt perhaps my bank had done this. I contacted my bank and was told that they did not add on more to the bill that it had been done by BWW. I was told it is in the pending stage but once it clears if it does not go to the correct amount they would dispute it for me. Daniel had told me to come and pick up the $10 that the other party had been charged.
I went in on 10/9/2020 in the evening to get the $10 and took the other party with me and asked to speak with Daniel. He had left but I was referred to Jennifer who supposedly was familiar with what had happened. I told her I had spoken with my bank and they told me they never charge a higher amount than the bill. Jennifer claimed that for the restaurant industry banks process higher charges in case a tip is included. I told her that never ever has my bank processed a higher amount in the pending stage on charges I have had but when it is processed it will reflect the tip. We asked that the general manager give us a call back to which she would but we never had a call so she must not have passed it on. She actually became very rude and said you can complain all you want no one is going to do anything different. She is not a very good lead team member to talk to customers that way. The issue is two cards were processed incorrectly and all we were looking for was an apology and ownership on what happened here. Needless to say, I will never ever return to this facility again and would consider Jennifer very poor with...
Read moreWe have been frequenting this restaurant for years, at least 12 years if not more. I always get the same thing because I love it and well, why mess with a good thing? Always had a great experience at Bdubs and this is why we have always gone back. Unfortunately not the case tonight. We went early on a Saturday evening, before 5pm. We found a table at the bar. We sat at our table for a good 10 mins before someone came to our table (already highly unusual as we are usually greeted by waitstaff within minutes of sitting down) but okay....we wait. She takes our drink orders but still no menus given or even asked if we'd like menus. She leaves to get drinks and I spot menus stacked on a table near the bar and send hubby over to grab a couple. Surprise brand new menu's! Staff seems a bit frazzled and understaffed but we patiently wait to put our orders in. Our orders come to table but our son's order is missing. I let them know and they run back to kitchen to check on it. No one comes back to our table at this point to let us know the status on his order so our son nibbles off our plates. I am a creature of habit and when I find a good thing I stick with it. I ordered my usual grilled chicken wrap and immediately noticed something was off. The wrap was probably half as full as it usually is and when I took a bite the tortilla split in half because it was old and dried out. GROSS! So disappointed by this as this is my favorite go-to meal here and it really ruined it for me. Halfway through our meals my son's meal comes, at which point he was crying because he was hungry and he didnt like our food. No apology, no comping of his meal, no explaination. Not a word. At the VERY LEAST my son's kids meal should have been comped! We paid and left with a sour taste in our mouths and to be honest, unlikely to return any time soon. Super disappointing...
Read moreFar from regulars, a gift card got us stopping by and trying out this well established causal sports bar and eatery. Known for their wings and tenders, burgers, wraps, appetizers, sandwiches, salads and a full bar offering a variety of mixed drinks and domestics and crafts all on tap. Our server was personable and soon we had drinks and our order of Ultimate Nachos was in. As quick as our order arrived, so was the lady who dropped the platter and ran. No questions asked. So began the fun of trying to get our server back to the table, as he seemed more interested in bussing tables then tending to his paying patrons. The tables did need attention but didn’t justify three staff that were doing it. First attempt, all on our effort, got him back to get us plates and more napkins. Second attempt, nearly had to throw out a leg to trip him as he passed our table repeatedly without stopping. We ordered a drink from the bar. Halfway thru our meal, more passing of our server, but the line of empty glasses clustered close to the edge of our table was not sufficient enough of a clue that we needed and wanted drink refills. We only had enough energy to once again gain his attention to get our bill. The Ultimate Nachos were a sizable appetizer that easily fed two. It came with a good bed of house-made tortilla chips topped with hatch queso, cheddar-Jack cheese, house-made pico de gallo, pickled hot peppers, cilantro, crema drizzled on top , salsa on the side and a choice of meat. Our choice was the brisket, that was a bit gristly and fatty. Overall the food was good, nice proportion and pleasing presentation. We especially enjoyed our Red Bull Sunrise, with Sauza Gold tequila, Red Bull watermelon, lime sour, passion fruit and fresh lime. Kudos to the bartender. Maybe we should have sat back there and got...
