The food was definitely not great! Surely not worthy of a 2nd visit. The chopped steak was dry and under seasoned, a poor choice to say the least. I ordered a rare ribeye, the steak I got was not rare. The side of steak I ate was more medium to medium rare and the other half, topped with the mushrooms was more medium well. Before we were going to pay the tab I mentioned to our waitress, Ranae, that my steak was not cooked to my requested temperature. Ranae patted me on the arm and "reminded" me that she asked me twice how my food was and I had said the food was good. I had only eaten the end that was cooked fairly close to medium/medium rare (and my sides) at the time she checked on us. The steak was one thing but I really did not appreciate the condescending pat or her snotty reprimand. Definitely inappropriate to be touching someone. Not everyone appreciates being touched by a total stranger. I said I was willing to pay for half my meal, since I ate half the meal, I just wasn't happy with how it was cooked. She told me that she'd need to get her manager, who gave me another lecture as well. The manager, Tom, offered to make me a new steak and mentioned that this is something that happens all the time, especially on weekends. He said that if someone isn't happy with the way their food is cooked, they should say something right away and the wait staff will pull someone else's dish to give to you. He was very adamant about giving me another steak, at that point all I wanted was half off my dish and to be done with them. Tom again offered me a new steak to which I said that I wouldn't be able to eat another steak and everyone else at the table had finished. I simply asked Tom if I could just get a discount on my dish and he finally agreed to give me a discount. I thought that I was being totally fair about the situation and Texas Roadhouse was not being fair at all. My rare steak was completely overcooked, I don't get it. Maybe it was the mushrooms and onions on top that continued to cook my steak? Something Tom should spend some time looking into versus arguing with the perfectly reasonable request. A proactive approach may be more affective because his reactive approach is a huge turn off. ...
Read more12/28/17 Visit We came here for supper and were really impressed with absolutely everything. We sat in a section covered by Erin, who wore a badge showing she had been there for four years. She is proved to be a fantastic waitress! She was always happy & cheerful and one step ahead of us... and was so suggestive of things we may want at our table. Everything about the food tasted fantastic! We had the 8oz steak with a baked sweet potato. We also had salad. Check out the photos for how wonderful they looked.... now imagine the taste! We will definitely be back when we are in the area! 11/7/18 Visit The 1st place we went when arriving in Rochester again was the Texas Roadhouse! We all had the steak at the early bird time before 6 pm. All 4 steaks were done perfectly. Kimberly was very attentive! She even let us know of a promotion they had where one can buy one of the peanut cans with a bottle of their steak sauce, peanuts, steak seasoning and $110 in gift cards for $100. Can a person go wrong if they intend on returning to the Texas Roadhouse? This was another great visit for our family! 10/27/19 Visit: We had a gentleman named Billy (the kid... He said) wait on us this time! He was very attentive checking on us very often! I tried the Country Fried Steak this time and was not disappointed. The photos are attached. It was a very generous portion with the cream gravy. It proved one should not be hesitant to try new menu items. This was a very nice night out! Thanks again! 11/8/19 Visit When we are here at the above visit, my wife gave it a shot at guessing how many candy corns were in a jar... And she ended up winning! We won a dinner for two and here we are! We were assisted by Taylor, who goes by TayTay there! She was most pleasant and helpful our whole meal through. Tonight I tried the BBQ Chicken & Ribs with the Loaded Sweet Potato. It was a lot to eat and most enjoyable. ...

I ordered an 8ox Dallas fillet, MEDIUM, and a side of sweet potato and mac and cheese. And we also got a skewer of shrimp and fried pickles YUM!! Their berry mocktail is a HAVE TO try too!! I am always a bit nervous ordering steak out, but Scotty confirmed if it was not done to a perfect medium, they would fix it. No fixing needed!!!
