I recently visited Northwest Plaza in Rochester, MN, and found it to be a convenient and diverse shopping destination. Located at 3400 55th Street NW, the plaza is anchored by major retailers like Walmart Supercenter and Sam’s Club, making it a one-stop spot for bulk and everyday shopping needs. The presence of national chains such as Petco, Dollar Tree, and Texas Roadhouse adds to its appeal, offering a variety of shopping and dining options in one location.
One aspect I appreciated was the ample parking space, which made access to the stores hassle-free. The layout of the plaza is straightforward, allowing for easy navigation between stores. Additionally, the inclusion of services like Great Clips and Sport Clips provides convenient options for personal care needs.
However, during my visit, I noticed that the plaza could benefit from some maintenance and aesthetic updates. Some storefronts appeared dated, and the overall ambiance lacked the modern feel found in newer shopping centers. While the variety of stores is a strength, the plaza's atmosphere might not appeal to those seeking a more upscale shopping experience.
Overall, Northwest Plaza serves as a practical and accessible shopping center, especially for those looking to complete multiple errands in one trip. Its range of retailers and services caters to a broad audience, making it a valuable asset to the...

Northwest Plaza is a dependable, convenient shopping hub in northwest Rochester. With its mix of national retailers, casual dining, and banking services, it’s ideal for everyday errands and quick meals. While it’s seen better days, it's clean, accessible, and serves its purpose well. For those seeking a smooth, one-stop experience, it hits the mark—just skip the haircuts and stick with...
Read moreAs a whole the place is only ok. The shops on the periphery don't have great parking. They are some really great places to visit including nail salon, Once Upon a Child, Buffalo Wild Wings, Petco. The traffic is crazy because it doesn't make sense. Coming in from 55th you don't stop, but the lanes don't line up! I was there to pick up an order at Sam's. That was super handy. I would give them 5 stars! You order through the app, when it is ready you go and park in the designated spot, on the app there's a place to let them know you're there, then they bring it to the car and load it for you. I love shopping there anyway, but this...
