Lumen Coffee — Restaurant in Rochester

Let me start by saying I love the flavor of their coffee. So good! However a few things to let management know about that are minor but could change a customer's experience... when I get an iced drink the cup it comes in is overflowing which is great except for when one tries to put the straw in. This results in coffee pouring out of the spout and all over the cup and maybe all over you and the inside of your car. Secondly the straws used are fairly thin which ends up being pinched in the lid. If I was trying to drink a frozen drink it'd make it hard to drink. Lastly I get a bunch of other coffee places have started giving the option to leave a tip. Tipping has gotten out of control imo. We're at a drive thru. Additionally if it's an option to leave a tip... having the barrista asking if you want to leave a tip is awkward and fairly forthright, especially before service and coffee have even been delivered. I wish I lived closer to the north side so I could go here more often! The customer service is outstanding. They have options for all types of coffee drinkers. I had got a flavored latte here a while ago, and it was far too sweet and only lukewarm. I went back through the drive through to explain my situation and the lady working was so apologetic and got my order perfect! She also gave me a coupon for the trouble. Lumen Coffee has quickly become one of my favorite local spots for a quality cup of coffee. While there isn’t seating available, their efficient drive-thru service more than makes up for it. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and committed to providing a great experience with every visit.

Their coffee is excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and crafted with care. I especially appreciate their seasonal offerings and unique flavor combinations that set them apart from larger chains.
