I had a very unpleasant experience at Meeting Noodles. I came in to simply pick up an order, and from the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely rude. No greeting, no acknowledgment — just cold looks and dismissive behavior. When I asked a basic question about my order, I was met with attitude and impatience, as if I was a bother for even being there.
What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated compared to other customers. It was painfully obvious that I was being treated differently — and I strongly felt it had to do with race. It was uncomfortable and upsetting, and no one should have to experience that when they’re just there to grab food.
I won’t be coming back, and I truly hope the management at Meeting Noodles addresses this kind of behavior. Respect and basic decency should not be optional.
Thank you for your message and for taking my concerns seriously. I appreciate that you addressed the situation with your team and recognize the challenges of training new employees.
I also want to mention that providing consistent service to all customers is just as important as the quality of food. Ensuring that staff are trained to treat all guests with the same level of respect and professionalism—regardless of background—goes a long way in making your restaurant welcoming to everyone. I hope this is something that can be incorporated into future training.
I appreciate your sincerity, and I look forward to seeing improvements. Wishing you and your team...
Read moreOh my noodle was this good! I went to dine in with a buddy on their second day and man was it busy. It was great to see the community support a new local restaurant. First Meeting Noodle is a smaller place but with huge flavor! They had maybe 15-20 tables total but the food is worth it. There’s a neat seating area where you can watch the cooks prepare the food. From my understanding, they make all of the noodles in-house and it truly shows. That was by far one of the best noodle dishes I’ve ever had!To start, we split some garlic edamame for $5 which had a lovely garlicky glaze over it. For my entree, I got the Chongqing Spicy Noodle Soup for $12. I could eat this all the time it was so good! It had the perfect amazing of spice with a beautiful balance of umami. My buddy had the Garlic Chicken Fried Noodles for $11. This dish was also super yummy. It had a little spice but not as much as mine. The garlic chicken had more of a sweet finish. Overall, The restaurant itself was easy to find, decorated nicely, and had no issues with parking. Bathrooms were clean. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodated every need we had. The menu prices 100% matched what they’re trying to do there. They could honestly charge a couple bucks more and still have the current success. I’m eagerly awaiting my next time back. I could easily see this restaurant becoming one of the local favorites with the quality of food they are putting out. I hope this restaurant has nothing less than...
Read moreA new Asian restaurant in Rochester is always good news especially one that has good quality food. Fresh noodles are made right in front of you- there is complete transparency with the process the food goes through before it reaches you. Sit on the bar stools for a view of the kitchen (although not the greatest place if you want to have a conversation with your family). What we had
Veggie Spring Roll
Sichuan Wanton in Chili Oil: it is a flavor burst in your mouth. It’s is absolutely delicious.
Scallion Pancake: it was more like an Indian Paratha- there was just a teeny bit of scallion in it. Wish there was more than that.
Garlic Chicken Fried Noodles: chicken with onion and bell pepper with a sweet soy sauce. With the chili oil at the table this was perfect.
2 x Moo Shoo Fried Noodles: black fungus, eggs, bok choy, carrot, cucumber noodles.
Coconut Milk: not that great
Plum Juice: just ok
The drinks are store bought in cartons/ bottles in a foreign language. They are not made in house so that’s not something I would recommend.
It’s not easy to get a seat quickly. It’s a small restaurant and the demand is way over what they can keep up in terms of space. We had to wait about 40 mins to be seated. Then once we did get seated there was a 10 min wait before anyone cake and took out order. The servers are very busy and are doing too many...
