The Sweetie Martini was a good mix of alcohol and sweetness flavor without being too overbearing on either end, the marshmallow fluff was a bit messy but a nice touch, our only gripe is the price, $16 is a pretty steep price for a cocktail when you can order a whole meal for that amount. The K&M Classic Cheese was honestly incredible. I got it with black forest ham, bacon, and while this might get some hate, pineapple. Everything on it seemed fresh and a great blend of savory and sweet that they didn't skimp out on how much they put onto it. The breadsticks were fresh, soft, and came with a large helping of butter with each one. Our waitress made sure we weren't without it long as she provided another breadstick as well as one to go, which was very nice of her. The Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine was delightful, despite the portion being a tad bit small. It was decently filling, the noodles are tomato basil and add a nice overall flavor profile to the dish. Our main takeaways were that the food was delicious but pricey, the building is small and packed, not that they can help that, but it isn't exactly pleasant to have multiple people pushing into you during your wait. Price is also a bit of a setback, given the location it's no surprise, but be aware you may be coming here more as a treat than an everyday meal.

3 Stars but there was 4 and 5 star plates....to start the calamari (4 stars) was tender and well cooked, but the sauce it was in over shadowed it, a lemon blanc sauce that was barely lemony and waaaay too oil slick buttery. The Tuna Ceviche (5 stars) was a home run, a tower of well seasoned mango, red onion, green onion, Avacado all on a bed of watercress, it had just the right amount of acid, the combo was excellent. That's where it went downhill...the swordfish(3 stars) altho nicely seasoned (I had mine blackened) was cooked perfectly but yet again waaay too much butter/oil and the portion for $23 was quite small. Yes the bread is delish and yes it's established, but the service was ok, what I'm getting at is if you want a 5 star place to compete with those prices you just need to step up the game. Was very surprised they didn't offer any surf n turf options or not even whole lobster tails, kinda baffling for an upscale seafood restaurant. To end the night Dessert(2 stars) that basicly was a pudding it did say a "Dark Chocolate Mousse with Whipped Cream" but what it ended up was a pudding in a martini glass that wasn't even dark chocolate. Sadly the dessert options are also lacking. All in all I'd go back for the salad and that Ceviche but for nothing else ok mebbe the bread yea that BREAD!

If you are in Rochester Hills, you absolutely have to have dinner here. My husband and I were in town for a very special event; I was meeting my birth mother for the first time. We weren't sure where to go for dinner and, as a local resident, she suggested Kruse and Muer on Main. It couldn't have been more perfect. We mentioned our personal situation to our server and told her we might be there a while given the circumstances. She was very accommodating and friendly, never pushing us along throughout our meal. We shared the stuffed mushrooms which were rich and included generous amounts of crab. My husband had Jimmy's Lake Perch and proclaimed it the best perch he ever had. I had the lobster and shrimp fettuccine; the tomato basil fettuccine was a nice balance for the creaminess of the dish. And the bread! Not even sure where to start...perfectly warm with a dense chewiness. I could eat that bread every day! If you live in the area and haven't been here, or are traveling in the area and aren't sure where to go, this is the place! Don't miss it!

My family had dinner at Kruse and Muer on Main on Thursday, December 26. We had planned this for over a week to take our daughter and her husband out for a Christmas night. The food was amazing. Unfortunately our server was awful. Young girl, tall, brunette. We don’t know her name as she never told us. We sat there for 10 minutes before she came to the table, even though we watched her filling water glasses of the neighboring tables. She finally took our wine order and disappeared for another 10 minutes. By now we were getting irritated. My husband got her attention while she was at the next table and asked what the hold up was. We didn’t even have water yet. She gave him an annoyed look and said she was waiting for glasses to be cleaned. Seriously?? The rest of the evening went pretty much the same. She delivered the meals, and ignored the fact we might want another bottle of wine. Once again, we had to get her attention, and deal with her irritation. Honestly, we were baffled, as we were being very pleasant when we arrived, but seemed to have annoyed her from the start. For instance, we ordered flounder with the rest of our orders. 5 minutes later, she returned and curtly stated “No flounder”. She said nothing else!! We looked at her for a moment and said, that’s fine, could you bring back a menu then? Again, no comment, and she walked away, returned without a word and dropped a menu on the table and left. Bottom line, this experience with this girl ruined the night. This restaurant is costly enough that this type of “diner” waitress attitude is beyond unacceptable. We spent over $250 and this waitress made the night completely awkward for all of us. We watched the other waiters in the room and they were having a great time with their customers. Pleasant and happy. We will never return as I wouldn’t want to chance wasting another night on the off chance of getting such terrible service. The manager should pay more attention to how their staff treats...

Went out for a birthday dinner and although me saying I will never return will not change their business, I want to make anyone & everyone aware this is a terrible establishment to eat at. My family and I dined here Dec 3rd keep in mind. It was extremely busy so I was a bit more understanding at first but the experience just got worse throughout the dinner. We were on a 1 hour waiting list, no big deal, we requested a booth, once the hour mark came up we were sat at a high top table in the middle of the crowd by the freezing cold door. When we brought up our concern that we wanted a booth, the extremely mean hostess (brown hair, frumpy, big, round glasses) basically told us we take it or leave it and we would have to get back in line for another hour or so wait...so of course we took the table. Immediately as we were sat down, a booth was available, my partner asked the hostess if we could be sat there and she told him no, even after him offering $100 to sit there, when asked a reason she replied "that table is for 5 or more" our party only had 4. Few minutes go by and guess what that hostess does....sits a party of 4 at that booth that she denied to my partner. With that happening, my party became extremely upset and requested the GM who was no help. She was also frumpy, rude, uninterested in our concerns and basically walked away. Very unprofessional. Our server Josh was extremely sweet, very uneducated on the menu and not extremely attentive to our drinks we waited over 45 minutes for, but for being a new server for the holidays he made the experience not as terrible. Food was decent, drinks were AWFUL, fire that bartender immediately. Very nice aesthetic inside, but will never be back...especially not for the money that was spent on our check (which by the way wasnt modified for our terrible experience) I cant say it enough, fire that GM because she has no sense of communication...

I have ordered carry out from here for years, and this past year in particular has made Us stop ordering from Here all together. Our order is always missing something, substitutions overlooked, butter (which is an additional charge) missing for the bread, our Pasta dishes are almost always missing the sides of shredded parm we specifically ask for… The Carry Out Counter employees need to be retrained. I have spoken to a manager multiple times, in a kind and understanding way- i’ve worked in the industry myself-never asked for refunds or compensations-but nothing has changed. I understand things get busy- but this is just laziness and low standards on the carry out end. We tried ordering for the last time today- we used doordash. If you’re unfamiliar with the restaurant side of DD, when you place an order with doordash it goes to a separate screen and ticket printer than other orders. when an order comes in it chimes, sombody has to physically press “confirm” on the order. and then it prints a ticket that goes to the kitchen. Today it took 45 minutes (from the time I placed my order) to the time when an employee finally pressed “confirm”. The time at which our order was meant to arrive, was the time they finally confirmed/accepted the order. so I cancelled it and we will not be attempting to order from here again. save yourself the headache and order from the Village Kruse & Muer. Downtown is far below par...
