I have had one tattoo done here. I would have to describe it as mediocre. I got the tattoo less than two months ago and I already need it touched up because the shading isn’t adequately filled in, the lines do not look like they were completed on two different areas of my tattoo. I was really excited about this concept that was provided to me and I honestly feel let down.
I also felt like my time was not as valued as other clients and that the piece was rushed through. While I understand that tattoos do take time to draw up, I’m almost positive mine was completely forgotten about. I was given a two week time frame initially when I went in October 23, as the artist had approximately 2–3 pieces to draw ahead of mine. I waited until almost four weeks had passed and called the shop and the person I spoke to stated that the artist had gotten busy and had 2-3 pieces to draw ahead of mine, which I was confused by because that’s what was initially told to me, so I feel like mine was either forgotten about, since I waited almost an extra two weeks before I contacted him, or that I was being purposely misled instead of telling me what was going on, as I did put down a deposit. I will say that the concept that was provided to me was well done and the artist did take my initial idea and elevated it quite well. I just feel disappointed that the piece that I was supposed to get based on the art work provided to me and the piece I ended up with simply are not on equal footing. When I have discussed the tattoo with others, both tattoo artists and acquaintances, they have stated that the work does look rushed and better attention could have gone into the detailing.
I found it difficult to communicate with the shop. As previously stated, there was misinformation given about the piece I had done already. I had scheduled another consultation to address the concerns about the first tattoo and discuss another tattoo. When I entered the shop, there was a scheduling error, which I do understand happens. But it wasn’t handled well and I felt dismissed by the artist because he had someone else waiting. So what I feel like could have been a situation where the shop could have retained both clients that have shown a willingness to spend money and make recommendations to others, the artist deemed one client was of higher priority and importance. I have made the decision to go to another shop for what I want done, but I think the whole issue could have been...
Read moreDo not waste your time with this shop. I went in March, discussed what I wanted done, and set up a consultation for April. The gal I ended up working with (Hailey) is a relatively young and new artist. We went over our plan for Summer and had a first appointment in early May with five follow-on appointments. The understanding that everyone has (including the office manager, Dana) was that there was no pressure at all. Worst case scenario is that we default to an all black blackout leg sleeve, so even if something wasn’t the best it didn’t matter. Everyone got either practice or ink so no worries! The last part of it was that I’m leaving for overseas so my Summer was limited. The same day as my second appointment, the owner, Larry, decided to pull the plug. About 30 minutes before the appointment, I get a phone call from Dana saying that they emailed me the day before and letting me know everything was canceled. They said that it was too big of a project for Hailey. No conversation, just two months of waiting wasted. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Save yourself the time and money and...
Read moreAdding this to the many tattoo shops that don't actually want to tattoo. I have no idea what it is with tattoo shops lately but anytime you tell them what you want to get they say what they can to convince you to not get it. I wanted simple tattoos on my fingers (tops of them not the pads) and was told the artists don't like to do them because they fall off and don't hold. As a bartender, I make tons of drinks I can't stand but still do it because they are paying and it makes them happy. If they ''fall off'' then proper care wasn't told to them or proper technique wasn't used. If they fell off then I can get it retouched, not a problem. I have plenty of finger tattoos that has held for many years without issue. Either the woman I spoke to didn't know much of how tattoos work or they didn't want to bother with it. I have never had a good experience with tattoo places and never had them make me feel what I wanted was a good idea. Could be a good place for anyone else but this is my personal...
