Went to this place because my sister wanted to go on her birthday. me and my wife sat down at a table waitress came promptly ,very friendly took our appetizer and drink orders and left. She returned with our drinks a moment later, and the appetizers just a minute after that.( could not have been more than 8 minutes.) The calamari was barely warm, and all the breading was falling off of it, telling me that it had sat under a heat lamp more than 10 to 15 minutes to allow the calamari to Steam the breading off, the spreadable brie was barely spreadable and was lukewarm at best, telling me again that it had sat for at least 10 minutes, which means that it was not prepared fresh. I ordered the 600 burger with the name Of the place on the burger, you figure it should be pretty good, but that’s where you would be wrong. They had a garlic aïoli on the bottom that had no taste of garlic, extremely bland, Smothered with what seems to be an entire onions worth of caramelized onions, and if that wasn’t sweet enough the whole burger was soggy with Maple syrup From the pieces of already precooked soggy bacon that have been floating in maple syrup in the back (Used to cook for Ford motor company Executives I know the tricks of the kitchen) The burger was placed on top of Chopped Romain lettuce that was wilted from the heat of the searing hot burger, and the bun was toasted so hard you could barely cut through it But somehow still managed to come out lukewarm. My wife’s pasta was bland and overcooked and lukewarm when it made it to the table, and the salmon had barely a seer and looked to be on the dry side, telling me that it was also pre- prepped. When you’re charging $25 for a burger, it had better be fresh. And to top it all off Their fancy Parmesan white truffle fries tasted like you were sucking on old gym socks from the funk of the truffle. Just give me some Regular goddamn waffle fries. And for some reason, it was served with a Cajun Mayo and ketchup, which makes absolutely no sense. I guess that’s what happens when you rely on your bar to get the rich stiffs so drunk that they don’t care what the food Taste like. first time going, Never...
Read moreCame here for our anniversary dinner, we live locally but were staying at the hotel for a night out. Credit card was required for making a reservation, fairly normal for upscale places. We arrived and weren’t greeted for several minutes despite the place being empty. The entire experience was honestly really disappointing. We were looking forward to getting dressed up and having a nice dinner. With the prices I expected this was more of an upscale type restaurant. The whole experience ended up feeling more like I went to Applebee’s. I felt uncomfortably overdressed in my cocktail dress. There was a family in there with rambunctious kids, and overall the place was pretty empty. It definitely wasn’t the vibe I expected. The server while friendly seemed to significantly lack any kind of higher end service training. Like I said, much more of an experience you’d expect at a casual chain restaurant. I will say both drinks that we had were very good. The server did require that I go up to my room and get my ID before she would serve me. I’ll admit I was annoyed by this but I understand there are rules. I guess what’s confusing is I was served an alcoholic drink at check-in in the lobby without any request for ID so I really didn’t even think about bringing my ID down from my room for dinner as I wasn’t carrying a purse. I’m 34 and its been quite a while since I’ve been carded at a restaurant. My pasta was really planned bland. My husband had a steak. We spent almost $200 on dinner. Overall I really regretted choosing this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We have kids and rarely get a date night & there are so many good places in the area. I understand that the restaurant has done some rebranding. I feel like they need to make it clear what they are going for here. The hotel is beautiful and higher end, I expected the same from the restaurant. If they really want to go casual they need casual prices. If you’re staying at the hotel on business then this place is probably fine for a convenient dinner. If you’re a local I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way...
Read moreI came here for the Valentine's Day weekend, and while understanding that restaurants were just reopening after the COVID restrictions and being a guest the hotel that weekend as well, I was thoroughly DISAPPOINTED. Since my significant other and I knew the reservations and the wait for the "dine-in" was going to take some time, we decided that we should order a carry out. I will never be coming here again. We called at 7:00 p.m., and we were told it would be 35-45 minutes for our dinner. I thought to give them some time (because obviously it is crazy with everything and it's not the hostess or waiters faults), I walked down to the restaurant about 50 to an hour later to give them some time. Unfortunately, I will still waiting for another 10-15 minutes in the lobby waiting for my app and my main course. The hostess said that she felt bad making me wait and that should could just call my room when they were ready and she apologized. I wasn't super happy, but I understood (kinda). So I went to my room and waited another 20 minutes, and by that time, it's already been ONE HOUR AND 45 MINUTES SINCE I ORDERED MY FOOD. I was told 35-45 minutes. It was a little ridiculous. Since I did not get a call still, I had to call them and I was a little upset (I am sorry to the hostess if I was a little rude to her because I know it wasn't her fault, but gosh, I was just so irritated). I normally don't like to be "that customer" and complain, but I really felt like I needed to say it was a little ridiculous. At the end of it, another 10 minutes later, I finally got the other dishes. Everything was cold. The app was good, but I was not happy that I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for COLD CHICKEN AND COLD POTATOES. Needless to say, I will never come back here again. I have been telling everyone to avoid it. I just really don't want to come here or deal with this again. Once again, I really understand the lovers weekend stuff, but for the cold dishes and the ehh chicken taste, it's just...
