Just sitting here enjoying my amazing ice cream in a waffle cone. The waffle cone is so light and crispy and delicious!!!
First time here and was given the deets about their operation. You can taste the freshness of the cream and other natural flavors they have to offer. They let us sample everything they had available and everything was super yummy!! I can’t wait to try some fresh fruit with tajin next 🤯😻 thanks so much for the heartwarming accommodations.
I wanted to edit my review after trying another ice cream place (1/30) and just say that I got super sick within half hour of eating it (maybe I have become lactose intolerant/sensitive the older I’m getting) . I’ve had Bajo Cero San Marcos a hand full of times since my first visit because it is so amazing.. not once did this upset my stomach whatsoever… goes to show the QUALITY INGREDIENTS used here! I’m just truly amazed. I really don’t think I could get ice cream anywhere else anymore after discovering this. I learned on my second visit that not only is it locally owned, it is veteran owned. So thank you for your service and you will always have my support! Eventually you’ll know me by name cause I just can’t get enough....
Read moreThe owner of bajo cero was so amiable She made sure that as a first time customers we tried all the flavors and explained that she does not use artificial flavoring unless previously in the packaged products themselves like nutella. I admire that! She explained the flavors in detail and even went as far as letting us know that the spicy chocolate should be eaten a half a time for flavor purposes and she was absolutely right! She made sure liked what we got so we could truly enjoy it. The flavors were so rich and flavorful. The strawberry, mango, hibiscus, and passionfruit flavors tasted like the actual fruits. Hands down bajocero’s ice cream flavors are far richer and creamier than Jeni’s ice cream, Marble Slab Ice Cream, and Cold Stone! This is the place I will be coming from now on to fulfilling my ice cream cravings!
I got the salsa verde loaded chips and it was so delicious and bursting with flavors! I will definitely be back for ice cream and snacks more. Overall, she was extremely hospitable, kind, and showed she works hard and cares for her...
Read moreAnyone who really knows me knows that I love ice cream with a passion. My friend took me to her favorite ice cream shop in Rock Hill SC and it might be my new favorite too. The shop is Bajo Cero San Marcos. The owner Jasmine is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the ice cream and they make all of it themselves. It is a family’s labor of love.
There are water-based, dairy-free ice creams that are made with fresh fruit and both the dairy and dairy-free ice cream flavors rotate weekly and there are completely unique flavors (cotija cheese flavor!!! Actual cotija, actually good! Brûléed crème brûlée! Jarritos floats with delicious fruit sorbets! Affogato milkshakes! Cookies and cream ice cream that is good and not just mediocre!) in a beautifully bright space. And they are willing to experiment in the name of delicious concoctions! It is actually an inventive culinary delight to go here.
And for those in Charlotte (and adjacent), it’s worth coming down to...
