I’ve NEVER been to popeyes & i decided to try today. I DIDN'T EVEN GET TOO & NEVER WILL!! I did an online order on their website. I ordered a 12pc wing combo 6 honey hot pepper & 6 bbq w a side & drink. I also ordered a 3 piece chicken combo w a side and drink. I ordered at 12:46pm noon, i arrived in the drive thru around 1:05ish. I was told to pull in the front parking lot for a for a couple mins bc my order wasn’t ready. Completely fine. We waited for like 10-15 mins. My bf went inside the order still wasn’t ready. Was told it will be 12 more mins. They were understaff so we said that was fine completely understandable. waited 12 mins went back inside. got back to the car food wasn’t ours it was somebody else’s order it was also a door-dash order. At that point we were already frustrated, we waited an hour it was already 1:47. We go inside wait a couple mins at the counter before anybody came over. There employee that was working the drive came over already having an attitude. I was frustrated and completely told them i waited an hour for my food and that i got somebody else order and i just wanted a refund. The employee went completely off was very disrespectful & best believe the manager didn’t handle it correctly at all. was sitting in the kitchen on the phone facetiming ( im assuming one of the other managers) came over telling us we needed to leave. Simply told them no that all i wanted was my refund literally all we wanted. and they threaten to call the cops for no reason. Also the cook was outside dealing with the trash coming back inside cooking the food no gloves and didn’t wash his hands. Simply didn’t want anything from there anyways once i seen that when i walked inside for my refund. Please don’t go here. There’s very unsanitary and very disrespectful. I’m very understanding and i even waited an hour for my food because i know they were understaff. but for an employee to get mad at somebody because they want a refund is very unprofessional and just doesn’t make sense at all. AT ALL. The employee could’ve simply told us that we have to go on the website to get a refund. All that needed to be said. Instead of getting mad for somebody wanting a refund. Also they never checked the bag of food that they gave me, When the employee was being smart & read my order to me. they were in the wrong & didn’t take accountability. Again i’m always understandable with the food industry & never had an incident like this. Save your money and don’t bother going here. I hope they get shut down especially with the other reviews there disgusting. We left with no food and...

Upon pulling into the drive thru there were two workers standing outside on the sidewalk having a nice little chat which made me think “oh they not that busy, this stop shouldn’t take long.” I was wrong.. There was a gentleman sitting at the first speaker so I pulled up to the second one, the little automatic introduction played and I began ordering, however, I didn’t get a response AT ALL. So I proceeded to wait….. & wait…. I look over at the same gentleman in the first drive thru & he’s leaning back in his seat to look through Popeyes open back door to see why no one is taking orders b/c he didn’t get a response either.. I don't usually review fast food chain restaurants, because in my opinion their individual management or their corporate office doesn't value their customers feedback.
I stopped by this location on January 21, 2020 approximately around 6pm, on my way to Charlotte, NC....and I've never experienced anything like this. So I got off the I-26 interstate northbound because I wanted some fast-food because I was pressed for time. Upon pulling into the drive thru I was quickly greeted and my order was taken. But when I got to the drive thru window I asked if I could add to my order...The older African American woman told me that she couldn't add to my order. When I asked why she said it was a their restaurant policy. I stated that I've visited this chain restaurant in other cities and I had never heard of it. Than I said is it just because you don't want to...and she stated "pretty much". I than stated to her that I didn't want my order and I wasn't going to be treated this way.....because she was extremely rude.
And than I drove to a nearby parking lot and called the store to speak with the on shift management. After being bounced around by two more employees, I finally got to speak to a manger and that was just as bad. After I explained what had happened the manager stated that their policy was that no add-on orders can be done at the drive thru window. When I asked for the store district manager name so I report this incident up higher, than I got hung up on by the manager that I was speaking with.
I'm only giving them a 1 star because yelp doesn't allow us to give them a 0.
I will never visit another bojangles restaurant based on this...
