This was an utter dining disappointment when I last visited this Cook-out location. Usually spot on with service, food, and accuracy, the last visit here was a total failure, in every sense of the phrase. I saw this with 20+ years of cooking at home and as my source of employment from varying types of kitchens and dining establishments, from every possible working position, station, and level of crew and management possible. So when you place your order, repeat it again to the loud speaker (bc it seems no one was being paid is the only explanation for the total lack of accuracy I can come up with), they in turn repeat the order back (correctly) but only one of 3 meals is rang up and made correctly, is so totally outstanding!! Yes I will give them a chance to redeem themselves one bad visit out of a few years worth is actually not too bad in my book, it was just the seemingly total disregard for our order, and then when we called back they said they would write our name in the book and to keep our receipt, all sounds as though it was going to be corrected, right? No, because we chose to wait a week before returning to Rock Hill, when we live and employeed in Fort Mill mind you rarely coming to Rock Hill, informed that after explaining the error to 3 different employees, 2 of which were managers, that we were lying as their policy does not include a book which errors were noted in, that we never placed the call (we had placed the call on a cell phone, so had record of calls bc we had to call multiple times for them to answer their phone, we kept the receipt and photoed the food since this was on our lunch break on an 8 hour shift, and paid with debit card as well, that not only were we lying but that we would not have our food remade correctly either. The correct order was cheaper than what we paid, however we were not worried about a few dollars difference, explaining to multiple employees thru the drive thru, being asked to pull around and told to use the wall up window that we weren't aware was operating at the time and the rudeness of the managers that seemed more inclined with belittling their patrons that spend their hard earned money on a bad and incorrect order than helping retain customers, my roommate/coworker will probably never return and it will be quite a while before I return as well. Mainly over 2 hot dogs that was left...

I would give the Cook Out in Rock Hill, South Carolina zero stars if possible. For the past several months, I have randomly visited this location at different times of the day and each visit has been a complete train wreck.

Today I stopped by at 11:08AM with only 5-6 cars waiting to order. After sitting in front of the menu for 10 minutes without anyone attempting to take my order, I noticed that no orders were being taken in either lane. Somehow the driver in front of me had her order taken and she sat at the window for 20 minutes before anybody came to accept her payment. In all, I was stuck in the far left lane for 30 minutes and never had my order taken. Upon leaving the restaurant my daughter said that she saw two gentlemen through the window smoking inside the restaurant. This is not surprising given the attitude of the employees this location has been hiring. You might want to send in someone from Corporate to see how your brand is being represented - it should be quite embarrassing!

Beside this issue - the parking lot is overrun with teenagers with lifted trucks blaring loud music and acting out on a daily basis, so there’s usually no parking.

I will not be returning to Cook Out and I advise you to save your time and money and don’t visit...

We stopped by here on Saturday night for a drive through order. The girl that took our order had to repeat it too us several times and asked questions repeatedly. It was just two of us and our order was basic. When we got the the window she was yelling at her other employees that she needed to go and it was time for her to go. She barley spoke to us and kept talking and yelling to the employees. She handed us this very tiny bag that could not have contained our whole order. After looking in the bag we told her we were supposed to have two large fries. My husband took out the card to pay for them since we hasn't been charged. She just yelled into her mic for fries then handed my husband a bag and said don't worry about it. She instantly turned her back on us and started complaining about it was time for her to get off work again. We looked in the bag and only found one bag of fries. My husband was so mad her just said forget it and we drove away. I know this place is staffed by mostly young people, but in my opinion that is no excuse for such behavior. If you are old enough to work then you are old enough to act like a responsible and professional adult. Assuming this company holds them responsible for such things. Either way we...

Sat at the intercom for about 7 minutes while the other line was serviced promptly. Several people that had pulled up after me had their order taken before me. I eventually pulled up to the window. There was an employee there, but it still took another 3 or so minutes for her to acknowledge me. Heck, the person directly behind me had their order taken while I was sitting at the window. She asked I what needed. I said I waited at the intercom, but no one took my order. She then flatly asked what I needed and turned from me to input it. I get that this location is busy and the employees are doing multiple things at once, but it wasn’t that busy at this time and this business is literally customer service. A “We’re sorry about that!” And a small explanation would’ve been nice. Not looking for handouts. Just a little acknowledgment of having to wait so long while two people were working one intercom.

My husband and I have been going to Cook Out for many, many years in both South Carolina and originally in North Carolina. The food was always great and the orders were right. The last year or so at the Cherry Rd location in Rock Hill, SC...the fries are greasy and most of the time the order is wrong! We ordered onion rings, got fried cheese curds, the fries are greasy and I paid for extra cheese sauce...not there. Put onions on my brother's burger ...which he is allergic to and no ketchup or tomato all which he told the guy who took the order. We accepted the smaller burgers because everyone is cutting corners. Don't know what happened to this Cherry Road...Rock Hill Cook Out, but it is no where close to the great food we always got from them. We don't go as much and are getting to the point it is just not worth the hassle. They do still havd good shakes though.

Just wanted to say that my order tonight (3/9) came out perfectly and I hope y'all can keep it up. Alisha was super nice in the drive thru, she got my order right in one go, asked if I wanted any sauces and the way the change was handed out I couldn't have dropped anything. Whoever was on the line did a great job too, everything came out perfect, and one of the most important things to me is that piece of foil at the bottom of the tray because if the hush puppies melt holes in the styrofoam and I have to throw them away and it's a sad thing to do but I don't want to poison myself. I came so close to closing that I had low expectations and I was super impressed with the team tonight, I never really leave reviews but I needed to say something. The foil. The foil is so Important. Please y'all I need that foil on the bottom of the tray every time.
