Honey Baked Ham Rock Hill SC would be great if not for certain staff. I ordered a whole 10 lb ham and prepaid online. The store website didn't have a whole smoked turkey listed under products. So I ordered one via shipping. I called the local store the next day and asked if they had any whole smoked turkeys in stock. I was told a truck had just delivered them. A regional manager named Kim went out of her way to make sure I had a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving. I had already canceled my shipping order. On a different note, I called the store to let them know my brother would be picking up the order. My brother also had his own order to pick up. He had emails with a large QR code stating that his orders were paid for. The lady at the counter gave him a difficult time even with proof of payment. The only item that he needed to pay for was the smoked turkey I reserved. Kim, the general manager intervened so my brother could pickup both orders. This is not the first time we had difficulty due to staff at Honey Baked Ham Rock Hill SC. Approximately 2 years ago my brother and I reserved our orders. The staff at Honey Baked Ham Rock Hill SC will sell reserved orders. When we arrived to pick up our reserved smoked turkeys a staff member said "we could not come off the street asking for turkeys."We showed proof via email that we reserved our turkeys. They said they only had Cajun turkeys left. We remained polite despite rude staff. They said we could not take turkeys that others had paid for. I told them I had no intention of taking turkeys from others. We purchased the whole Cajun turkeys. The option to reserve items should not be offered if a shortage in supply will result in the selling of reserved items.I will order via shipping next year. Read morePurchased a 10.585 lb ham @ $9.59/lb today (12‐10‐22) about 3:30pm. The clerk did not give us a receipt (tape was out?) nor did he ever give us a verbal total. My husband paid with our debit card and did not see the price on the screen. When we got home I asked him "How much was the ham"? I replied "I don't know". So I checked our online bank account. The price was $203.02!!! My husband said "I thought he scanned that twice but that probably the first time it did not get read".
The price marked on the ham itself is $101.51. 101.51 X 2 = 203.02 Yes, we got charged twice!
The store is not open tomorrow and we will be unable to get back to the area for more than a week. I will call Monday morning and hope that this error can be fixed. No receipt plus double charging equals bad, bad, BAD customer service.
