We'll have to say we have come here hoping that it would be good and we're so disappointed. Came In the door and the lady was so unhappy. Got to our seat and found out only a couple Legal beers on tap. Irish Bar now! Ordered Fried Pickles and they were good. Ordered charcuterie board and wife absolutely couldn't eat chefs selection because they put some extra hot and spicy meat on the plate. She doesn't do spicy would have like to know it was going to be extra hot and spicy.... After we got the board finally got someone asked if any crackers came with plate said oh we forgot. Got chips 20 minutes later. Ordered wings buffalo and curry extra crispy and they came out almost raw. Wings were big and the curry flavor was good but so limited like here is a taste but we're not coating them in it. Wings had so much potential but absolutely no sauce. Such a disappointment from what it used to be. Don't give bad reviews very often but just so not a good experience.

We got the charcuterie board for the table. The blueberry cheese was the highlight of the board. My collegue bad Bangers and Mash, which looked great and he enjoyed it. I had the Curry Chicken and the Palmetto Burger. The sauce on the Curry Chicken was spicy, full of flavor, and the veggies were tasty. The chicken was okay, but the dish was overall very good. The Palmetto Burger was incredible. The burgers were cooked perfectly and were a good size. There was plenty of pimento cheese and while it was a little sloppy to eat, it was so good and worth having my hands dirty. Just grab some extra napkins. The fries were tasty and crispy without being hard. We went early on a day when there was nothing going on, but it looks like a good atmosphere for a sporting event.

I recently visited Journeyman and while I can't fault the food - it was flavorful and well-prepared - the cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The booth seats were noticeably stained, giving the place an unkept feel right from the start. Even worse, the windowsill next to our table was filled with dead flies, which is a clear sign that daily cleaning is not being done. It's disappointing because the quality of the food doesn't match the lack of attention to basic cleanliness. Until they address these issues, it's hard to fully enjoy what could otherwise be a great dining experience.

Super disappointed. Have been wanting to visit for a while, but as we moved out of Rock Hill we don’t get down this way as often. We decided to come for dinner tonight. While we understand that it was busy when we came in, most of the tables already had their food. We sat waiting for our food for over 30 mins. A larger table next to us that came in roughly 15 mins after us had their appetizers and we were still waiting on our food. When it finally came out, the bangers and mash were like warm and the chicken on the salad was dry. We asked to speak with the manager/ owner. This only made the experience worse. We tried to explain what was upsetting to us, the owner, “Murphy”, just wanted to make excuses and talk over us, ultimately walking away from our table without any apology for the experience. We will not be back, nor will we recommend this place. Had things gone better with the owner, we would have been willing to give a second chance. I have never had an experience like this in the past. I hope the owner does not treat others as we were treated. *a note to the response to this review - had the visit to the table been handled differently than it was, this review would have been much different. It was not the wait time we were most disappointed with, it was how the issue...

This isn't Legal Remedy. The beer is still ice cold, and although there are no porters or stouts, the focus of the available beer choices compliment the food, the most important part since the tavern isn't a brewery. My family has frequented this location, lunch and dinner, since it was Legal and we have continued since it became Journeyman's. Many remaining staff have watched my daughter grow from a little. What I like about the Journeyman is the food isn't like every second or third restaurant in the area, they grew their business from the bones left behind and added their own spin while trying to make the transition palatable to locals, and the laid-back atmosphere remained, if not more so than before. The burgers are beautifully seasoned and never taste frozen, the Reuben never needs extra kraut ordered, the fish and chips were perfectly salty and crisp, the bangers and mash were rich and balanced and even the kiddo menu tenders were fresh. They've kept the pimento cheese and crisp but meaty fries. I'm usually worried about ordering shepherd's pie, but I don't think I have to worry about getting lackluster, soggy, casserole like dishes here. I've had excellent experiences since they've opened, and I can't wait to...

Horrible service There were several wait staff and not busy so the low level of service had no excuse.

We ordered a salad, among other things, and we were not asked what kind of dressing. When the food came out I asked my wife if there was any Ranch and she said no. I got the waitresses attention and asked if this salad was supposed to have any dressing. With an attitude she asked if we wanted Ranch or Balsamic (the menu said it was supposed to come with Ranch). I said Ranch and she came back and just dropped a small container of dressing and walked off. She didn't apologize or ask if we needed anything else.

Partially through our meal I had to ask the hostess, or maybe manager, for another dressing cup and more gravy for another person's meal.

At the end of our meal the waitress finally came, for the first time, and asked if everything was OK. I paid and we left. One of the people in our small group told the hostess, or manager, the service was not good.

The chicken on the salad was dry and burned and the mashed potatoes had no seasoning. At least the bangers had...
