McDonald's — Restaurant in Rock Springs

Had an unpleasant experience with an unprofessional cashier.

I came in at 8:30 AM Wednesday, August 3 to order a sausage egg McMuffin with folded egg and a medium iced coffee.

I originally ordered a small coffee and sausage egg McMuffin with folded egg however the cashier proceeded to say they only sell large and extra large hazelnut iced coffee.

I asked when did they start doing that, and then they responded with sorry we actually only have medium and large. She repeated the order back to me and I jumbled English fashion and I just repeated to her back what I ordered and she said yes. She charged me about five dollars and some change after using the two dollar breakfast sandwich discount code I noticed was a bit odd. When my order was ready they gave me a chicken nugget box with an extra egg with an additional egg inside the sandwich that was rounded. I was very confused by that because I repeated exactly what I said three times so there was no way to have confusion because I never mentioned extra. It’s very common to ask if you want folded or rounded egg. When I went to the counter I told them why was I give it an extra egg I asked for a just a folded egg and the haole manager said they make me another one. I left the sandwich open on the counter because the protocol is you have to give back the food to get a return. They proceeded to ask me why it’s there and then the other manager said we need to make her another sandwich and refund her. So the same older Hispanic lady who was supposed to give me the refund proceeded to try and correct me and say that I asked for extra when I did not. And try to smile and say that I was incorrect even though her English skills are subpar. I repeated it to her very slowly because I was aware of her English speaking skills not being the best. And I ended the reply with you just didn’t understand that’s fine. I got my refund. And as I’m eating she staring at me with a nasty look as if I made her day bad.

I usually come in the afternoon and evenings so I will continue to do that. I do not recommend coming to this location in the morning for dine in because they put inexperienced bilingual people in the front who proceed to argue with customers about how...

update on 2018: this is still the coolest McDonald's I've ever been to and the people are super nice. don't forget McDonald's has some of the best espresso at about a third of the cost of Starbucks down the street!! This place also has an ATM which was used twice while we were here! Old review:Coolest McDonald's we've been to in a long time. Super modern just updated and it even includes two ordering kiosks! We used one just to try it out but the counter people were super friendly and nice and efficient too. This McDonald's has a neat play area with a slide in it and it also has a Redbox in the McDonald's as well as an ATM inside. Two of the booths even had HD games built-in and the people in the boots were really having a good time. As usual it's McDonald's so it's predictable the egg white cheese biscuit meal was fantastic and today you could have any size drink for a dollar! McDonald's is a great place whether you are trying to be held or whether you are just hungry. This one is easy on and off of I-80 and the parking is plentiful. Was visiting family from out of state and after having been at the hospital after my son was involved in a serious car accident which totaled our vehicle my daughter and I went through the drive through to pick her up food. I pulled up to the window to pay and after waiting for someone to come and take my payment was met by a very rude employee. I held out my phone for Apple Pay and was met with a lecture about my communication skills and when I asked for a receipt she very abruptly closed the window and walked away. I was too tired and running on empty to do anything, but I have visited some other McDs and have never met employees with such rudeness and poor costumer service skills. You don’t know me nor do you know what my day looked like, but customer service is everything and maybe next time you need to remember to be kind!! Rock Springs and its people are known for their kindness and hospitality and it’s sad that someone’s encounter with such an employee could make them not want to come back if this was their first time coming for a visit to this great...
