I always order the chimichanga suiza, and it’s one of my all-time favorite burritos. The portion is generous enough for leftovers, and the flavor is consistently amazing. Their Horchata is also exceptional. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.
I ate here for years—at least twice a week—until I found out that the health department had shut them down due to a pest issue, possibly involving rats or roaches. They were forced to renovate, and in fairness, they did a great job with the improvements. The food was so good that I decided to give them another chance, and I wasn’t disappointed upon returning.
However, knowing they continued to serve food until the health department intervened is unsettling and damaged a lot of the trust I had in them. Still, this is my favorite spot for Mexican food, and I’m giving them another chance. I just hope that if any similar issues arise in the future, they handle it properly before it gets to that point again.
Sometimes the women at the window can be a bit rude, but they’re efficient and never mess up my orders. The younger staff, on the other hand, are always incredibly polite and welcoming. Don’t let the past health department issue deter you—it’s been fully addressed, everything is brand new, and the food is still fantastic. You’d be missing out if you didn’t...
Read moreOriginally I called to place my order I was placed on hold for 5 minutes (luckily I was across the street) I went inside and ordered the food since I wasn't able to by phone. Waited on the food I ordered two giant burritos one with lettuce, Tomatoe, and cheese & the other with rice, Tomatoe, lettuce,& cheese. All seemed good I got to the car I noticed I had only one giant burrito and the other was a baby burrito(noticeably thinner and shorter in length) the other had beans. So I returned both the burritos one was replaced due to the bean error and the cook argued with me stating that since rice was on one the burrito would be longer and fatter. I held the burritos next to each other to the associate and he still made excuses and lied to my face to not replace the burrito. Then he said sorry about the inconvenience no I'm the sorry one cause I will not return. You cheated me out of what 1-2 for the giant burrito the company lossed more than I did!! Chiquita on south main is so much better anyways these people just...
Read moreUpdated 2-10-24: I’m happy to report that the food here has improved a lot! YUM! I love the steak tacos and their Mexican potatoes are cravable. The cheese enchiladas are delish as well. If you want a solid veggie taco, they have one that has the potatoes in it and they are my favorite if I’m not getting the steak or carnitas (my hubs favorite). We almost always do drive thru and it can be a little slow but that’s never been a problem for me because I know my food is fresh!
(Old review) I live nearby and this used to be our go to spot for tacos. We weren’t eating out as much over the last year and our first time back at Burrito Bravo was a disappointment. I’m not sure what changed but the food just wasn’t good. The meat in my steak taco was not the same as it used to be and was under seasoned. My husbands food was bland and disappointing as well. Given that the tacos are nearly three dollars a piece we probably won’t be back. I’m sorry that this place...
