Subway — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Scammers. Went there on 10.5.20 with the coupon below. I'm guessing it was the owner who waited on me, judging by only other car in the lot was a Mercedes parked by the back door. I presented the attached coupon and should have gotten a free sub. I ordered two subs, both 6 inch. He tried to argue that it was supposed to be for a foot-long. It does not stipulate this on the coupon. I showed him that it allowed for a free sub with the purchase of a sub + a drink. You can clearly see, the lesser cost sub would be free, yet he charged me for both subs. I didn't want to spend the next 15 minutes arguing with an unreasonable owner. This guy was clearly not going to accept the coupon. Avoid the headache of stopping in this place. For those who fill up at the attached gas station, and who come off I-90, you only need to drive a couple of minutes west to find a myriad of restaurants, at all levels from finer dining to fast food. DO NOT patronize this establishment. Punish poor behavior and unscrupulous business owners and reward those down the street who won't argue with...

I bought my usual order at the Lyford location in Rockford, IL on 12/12/2024. There were a few customers in the store ordering at the same time, so it was a little busy. While I was filling up my soft drinks I set my order next to the the drink vending machine. At some point another customer filling their drinks too, put their order on the counter next to mine. They finished their business before I did, accidentally picked up my order and left without me me noticing. When I was done filling drinks, I unknowingly left with their order. When I got home I opened the bag and realized I had the wrong sandwiches. Completely puzzled on how this happened, I went back to the store and showed the two gals running the front line the sandwiches were wrong ones. Now this was not their fault as I should be watching my items...Totally my fault. I expected to pay for another order of sandwiches, but the two gals running the front line said "no charge". I didn't expect that at all. Money is short this holiday season. Thanks to the crew at Lyford location. You guys...

I had a really frustrating experience at Subway recently. I stopped by for a quick bite and needed to use the bathroom, but was told it was only for customers. I had just bought a sandwich and asked if I could use the facilities, but they still refused.

On the other hand, I had a much better experience at the BP Gas Station nearby. I accidentally left my wallet in my car, but the staff let me fill up my tank and drive back to pay later. It’s a shame Subway couldn’t show the same level of customer service. I won’t be returning to this Subway location...
