Dam Dogs — Restaurant in Rockford

Came here on Monday at 6:20pm. The chairs and stools were up on the tables and when we ordered, many of the items were “already put away for the night.” It was clear we were annoying the workers by going there for dinner despite the hours saying they closed at 7. We felt like we were inconveniencing these people from not letting them close much earlier than the stated hours. Hoping the owner reads this and understands the workers are not serving the menu within the stated hours. There was no sign stating they closed early that day, and the attitude from them was difficult to take. We dined in and had to take stools down to do so. They didn’t clean the tables when we left but put the stools on top of onions and pickles. Gross. I believe they are supposed...

Hot dogs are great, the customer service could be better. When I went there today, the older woman working the register just stared at me when I walked in and didn’t even say hi. And then when I walked up to place my order she didn’t say anything either, just stared at me until I said what I wanted. It was quite awkward. What made it weirder was two guys walked in after me and she greeted them and was way nicer, and asking them what they wanted. I guess she just didn’t feel like giving good customer service to me...

This place was okay. A little pricey for what we got. Customer service wasn't that great. We're big hot dog people and had never been here so we were reading the sign before ordering... the guy at the counter seemed irritated with us for doing so.. Food was hot.. that was the only plus. Toppings were just tossed on.. I got the hot dog with cheese and bacon and there was I'd say tops MAYBE 10 little pieces of bacon bits? Totally willing to give it another shot, I'm just hoping this...
