My wife and I dined here on the evening of October 10, 2024. We had not heard or read about this restaurant before we had planned our trip to Rockland, and only discovered it by accident while exploring the downtown area and looking for a decent place to eat that had a bit of a view of the harbor and wasn't overpriced. It was pretty crowded inside and appeared to be popular with locals, but we found a seat at the bar, the bartender was very pleasant, and the food was hearty and reasonably priced (it was Mexican night). They do have an outside patio, but it had already closed for the season because it was getting cool outside as the fall weather began to set in. This place could be made better if they knocked out the east side and south side walls and installed large sliding glass doors or larger picture windows in their place. This would substantially enhance the view of the harbor, and likely expand their business by ten fold.

Park Street used to be fun and more inspired. The menu was good, and leaned heavily on Mexican, which was excellent. This was my second trip to their new location and it's become moribund and pricey. The menu is a little thinner and is more focused on fish, but my big issue is that it feels forced. The food is uninspired and plain, although the menu has all the adjectives and edge of a reality-tv cooking show. I had fried scallops but they were much more basic than the menu had led me to expect. They weren't bad, but they weren't special, either. The firecracker shrimp were good, and the fries were very good. They offer a great location and decent food, but the Park Street Grille has lost the character that was its big draw in the old days

My mom described this as Mexican restaurant but as someone from the West Coast, the atmosphere was more like a grill/pub that had Mexican fare (and some seafood that looked so good I wasted it all! ) However you describe it, the Mexican food (I had the 2 enchiladas with shredded beef) was very, very good. The salsa with the chips was super tasty and my watermelon ๐Ÿ‰ margarita ๐Ÿน was delicious! (Thx Jill) onion ๐Ÿง… ring appetizers were fat and perfect. Spacious inside, staff was awesome, we had lively conversation with the other folks around the bar. All around recommend! ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Overall nothing special. We went because I wanted ceviche and they have a tostada ceviche salad. The salad was one of the worst I have had. The "ceviche" was composed of small precooked (frozen/cooked/peeled) shrimp marinated in a dressing that had zero flavor. There were ten times more sliced onions then shrimp.

I have lived in south & central America for years. This ranks as the worst ceviche I have ever had! This item should be removed from the menu. Either make a ceviche appetizer properly or don't make it at all.

I would never order it again. My wife had the steak and beet salad which she routinely orders. It came with a new margarita lime dressing instead of the standard citrus dressing that it used to come with. That dressing is terrible, she had to ask if they had any of the citrus dressing which they did.

Maybe it's a new "chef" but whoever is creating the menu needs a lesson in making ceviche, don't cut corners and use peeled cooked tiny shrimp and sell it as ceviche.

In addition, a couple was seated next to our table and requested a table in another area (late Saturday afternoon 4:30'ish). Plenty of open tables, they were told unfortunately they are not able to move them because it wouldn't be fair to the other servers. After the hostess left that couple expressed several negative comments between themselves. Overall very...

We vacation in Rockland every year and this is our first restaurant we eat at when we arrive. The food was very good as always and just a nice laid back atmosphere. This year is the first time I rated service a 3 star. Here is why this rating. Was greeted by hostess and she was very nice and seated us almost immediately and brought us chips and salsa ( very good ) Waited about 5 minutes for our waitress which was no big deal.

Once she did come to our table she got our drink order and came back quickly with our drinks. We had a couple of questions on the food and she was matter of fact answered yes or no with no explanation just kind of give me your order, not pleasant.

So, order was placed and waited approximately 15 minutes for meal again no problem however, would have liked to order additional chips and salsa and each time she went by our table she looked to see they were empty but never asked if we would like more. Not until our food came did she come back to make sure all was good. So, stupid bad service,no! Will we go back, Yes because the food is worth going back. Is this the level of service we received in years past, No, it was better before. So, overall we like this restaurant. Waitress maybe tired? Maybe not a great day or maybe business as usual. Will post again...

This is the second time my husband and I have dinned here and as far as we are concerned 2 strikes you are out. It took 20 minutes to even place our order only to have the waitress (she was the only bright part of the experience) come back to tell us they didnโ€™t have what we wanted (they were out), this was a Friday night, just the start of the weekend. After finding something on the menu less desirable, we waiting the expected amount of time for it to be brought to us, again by a very nice wait staff., only to have the meal less than acceptable. One meal had crunchy rice and soggy refried beans and the other meal (chicken wing) so over cooked they were unable to be eaten. When the waitress removed that plates, we were at least expecting to have the uneaten chicken boxed up, they were never returned. When asked for, she went into the dish washing area to find our dinner (really?) the wait staff came back and apologized and said โ€œsorry, I didnโ€™t know you wanted themโ€ .. I had only eaten 3 off the plate .. again, really? This will be the last time we ever go to this establishment, we gave them 2 chances and both times .. Unacceptable!! To pay this much for a meal you cant eat and not even be able to bring it home .. sorry, I would not give a recommendation to any of my...
