Woke up early nearly every day for a month to catch the beautiful sunrise over this harbor. Just so beautiful to see the boats in the harbor and the breakwater Lighthouse and owls head peninsula on the horizon. So stunning. Staying across the street from this park gave me easy access and I took advantage of it. From the park you have easy access to the rockland board walk which is a must do. The path meanders around the quite harbor. Another must do is the farmers market that is held every Thursday. Local goods including cheese, honey, garden greens, tons of fresh organic veges, oven roasted pizza and a garlic scape relish sold by Turtle Rock Farm that I could not get enough of.

Had the best time at LobsterFest. Met King Neptune, tore into softshell lobster a lobster roll and a Turkey leg all within a few hours. I know lobster fest doesn't run all year long but there are certainly enough local spots that offer shore town cuisine that you wouldn't be missing out. Explore this quaint remote town of loggers, fishermen, artist and musicians alike. You'd be hard pressed to find a more welcoming town. (this was a summer time testimonial, opinions may differ vastly during the winter seasons)

We visited Harbor Park for Lobster festival and we had a good experience. The people and the vendors were very nice. The pirates that were performing were awesome with the kids and the parents. There was a little of everything for the family. The price on the lobster was a little too much for us and ended up eating at a nearby place called Eclipse who had a really good deal on lobster specials. Overall, Harbor Park was a nice park and wouldn’t mind coming back but doubtful because we live pretty far from it.

Harbor Park is famous for the Lobster Festival, the Blues Festival, Santa's landing site, and the Boats and Harbors show. It's also home to the Fishermen's Memorial. However, our favorite and most frequent use is as a beautiful place to have lunch. There are a few places to sit and there are a dozen or more parking spaces nosed right up to the harbor itself. You get a view of the harbor, with the Double Eagle and Western Sea at Fish Pier on your left, the Breakwater Light and the middle distance, Owls Head to your right, and the Fix Islands - North Haven and Vinalhaven - far across the water. It's beautiful and it's right there for...

I lived in Rockland 68 years and played there ad a kid. But it has changed. I was there a few days ago and there were people in the cars eating lunch and trying to enjoy the view of Rockland Harbor, but it was ruined by 2 shirtless teenagers walking in front of the cars and screaming like wild animals. Then they verbally harassed and taunted an old man that was walking by. Rockland has changed for the worse and I don't recommend going to Harbor Park. There has been a lot of unruly teenagers in that area and...
