New in town! I was house sitting in the area and decided to try some Chinese, take-out. I wanted to order what I normally order when I am not sure about the place, Szecheaun/gen Chicken.
Guy said I could not try a bite sized sample and must wait to try the chicken after I pay for my large. So I pay..
The portion was very large, so I thought Yeah, I will have leftovers! Wrong, very wrong! I took exactly three bites, the first one, hmmm, the second, well maybe a little more sauce, the third, OMG what is that taste in the sauce? It tasted as if duck sauce had been mixed with cornstarch and water with a little food coloring and mixed in with the tasteless Chicken and limp veggies. I was seriously afraid to eat anymore, so I promptly dumped the whole thing into the garbage for fear of being sick, that is how bad the food was!
You lost me, because I will never be going back and will spread my story about places like this that do not care about there customers. All other places that Ive seen are giving or willing to give you a taste tester sample out to let people know how great there food is before you have to pay ($10 for a large), This must mean something about this place.
Also guy that asked me what I wanted was not very friendly and walked away while I was talking to him. Rude much? The truth is I would go someone other, or try it...
Read moreLocal resident here. I go to this Chinese restaurant on average 10x/year. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I exclusively do take-out. They've had the food ready when I got there (15-20min) 95% of the time. On the very rare occasion have I had to wait (busy day).
I just was there this evening, the guy at the register couldn't have been nicer. We got into a conversation about Wells Fargo and that in China "Fargo", pronounced like Fah Goo or something, means "Rich Country" in a positive way. He said he's always liked the name Wells Fargo. He of course had a very heavy accent so it took a couple of repeats to get the whole story, but still, a friendly fella.
Food quality is what you can expect at any Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. If you're looking for cheap Chinese food with typical quality and atmosphere, then this is a solid choice.
Not sure why so many people have a problem with them, but I've only had good...
Read moreOrdered ahead of time. Was told 20 mins. The timing was on point. The only reason this review got two stars. General Tso's was very dry and bland. Very sad to have eaten this. The chicken curry's taste resembled that of consuming a piece of notebook paper. The sauce was some sort of congealed putridessence unknown to man and tasted like the one time I accidentally drank well water. The fried wontons.......The roof of my mouth still has skin dangling from the hard edges of that weapon of mass confusion. The insides were rubbery and overcooked, the outside had the density of a thousand shuriken crushed into one small heavy sharp throwing weapon. I thought the eggroll would be the redeeming factor. and I was disappointed. But hey, I get what I paid for. Twenty two dollars' worth of a bad feeling in my stomach and the inability to drink a beer to wash this foul taste from my traumatized tongue and lips. Oh, and they didn't...
