Icing on the Cupcake — Restaurant in Rocklin

Update: Unsure if the ingredients they use have changed or maybe someone else is baking for them now, but slightly disappointed after our last visit. After going to this spot for years now, our last visit was the only real notable change in the quality of the cupcakes. The buttercream frosting was one specific area that definitely has changed and not for the better. Also the 2 people working the counter were unwelcoming and almost seemed annoyed that they had to help us, very off-putting and uncharacteristic of the customer service we usually encounter at this location.

The cupcakes here are phenomenal. The cake itself is moist and they have a variety of flavors depending on the day of the week. For the cupcakes that have filling, the ratio is always spot on. The best part though is the frosting. It has got to be some of the best frosting I've ever had. I like some flavors more than others, but they are all delicious. Their name - Icing On The Cupcake - is so fitting in my opinion because after eating them...all you want to talk about is the icing on the cupcake. so I went into I saw the cupcake located in Rocklin, and I ordered two of the blueberry cheesecake cupcakes because I wanted to take one to a friend of mine who said that that particular flavor sounded really good. Well, she called me up a little bit ago and said that there was literally no blueberry Filling in her cupcake. Mine had filling, but hers did not. So I called up and explain to them what happened and all she said was I’m really sorry that happened to you, I’m really sorry that happened to you. OK that doesn’t change the fact that I ordered two blueberry cupcakes and technically only got one. She says well. The cupcake should’ve had blueberry filling in it, and I said OK well it should have but it did not that’s why I’m calling. Once again, I’m sorry that happened to you. Oh I’m sorry, next time you come in we’ll go ahead and replace it for you. Then I started getting a little upset and she hung up on me. Worst...

Well as of today 5/7/20 all I did was call to check prices on there cupcakes an as I was talking to jasmine it sound like they were having fun in the background I thought that was great considering what’s going on in the world right now! But never got any response or prices on the cupcakes because she hung up on me well to me that’s very rude I don’t know what I said was wrong or if I said anything wrong all I did was say it sounded like you guys were having fun that’s cool can I get a price on some cupcakes and she hung up on me! We as customers are the ones that are keeping these small businesses an big business a float to keep them from closing down! I think a little respect should be in order! I’m only one person or maybe me an 5 or 6 people but guess what you lost me as a customer! Remember it only takes one to start a chain reaction!
