I did mobile check in and had requested extra pillows, towels and shower amenities in the room prior to arrival as I was traveling with my parents. When checking in, the gentleman at the front desk noted that everything that was requested was received and should be in my room.
Upon entering the room, nothing i requested was in the room. No extra towels, no extra pillows (for the pull out bed) , no extra showing amenities.
I go down to the front desk and let the gentleman know and his response is “Okay”! So i say, can I at least get pillows and a blanket as I am staying on the pull out bed and need pillows and a blanket? He then replied, we dont have any sorry. And that was that. No alternative was provided, did try to figure out a solution, nothing.
So i go back to my room and had to take clothes of mine to make some kind of pillow as I did not want to put my face on the seat cushions. Had to take the towels and us them as a blanket as those were not available either. It was just disappointing because to use my points to have that type of service and lack of care, to me it was a waste of points, i would have use my points elsewhere if i was going to be using clothes for a pillow and towels for a blanket.
When checking out, we can down for breakfast and the attendant there was amazing. She was very attentive.
We went back to our room to gather our belongings and the keys had expired. 9am and the keys were expired. So i go back down to the front, let the young lady at the desk know they were expired and she didnt say a words. Just took the keys, looked that the room number on the key sleeve and handed them back. No communication interaction at all. That when I really wished i didnt us my hotel certificate on your property. But there was nothing i could do about it now. We gathered our things and left. Dont think i will ever be staying there or recommending this location at all. Very disappointing and a waist or rewards on...
Read moreVERY upset with this Marriott property. The living room furniture was dirty and wooden arms scuffed and worn but worst of all there was NO soap in the room. When it was discovered around 8pm the evening of our stay, I called the front desk and was told "oh yeah, we don't have any. The manager ordered soap and it is backordered" When I asked what they planned to do to rectify the situation, I was told they weren't going to do anything. When I said that was unacceptable during normal circumstances, but in the midst of a pandemic so much worse. The women I spoke with said "its not my problem, I just work here. You'll have to take that up with the manager in the morning." The next morning, the man working the front desk had the same reaction. While the words "I apologize" were said, he was clearly unapologetic. I watched as he checked in a father and 2 sons who were in town for a baseball tournament and were not informed there would be no soap for their stay. I asked why I, and other guests, are not at least being told at check-in that there will be no soap provided and the desk clerk had no response. I am flabbergasted at the fact that management and staff would allow guests to stay at a property with no soap, no plans to provide soap and complete and utter disregard for the situation. If there is no soap for hand washing and bathing, how am I to be confident that other cleaning and sanitizing supplies are not also not being used? I was staying with my 82 and 85 year old parents and now have to wonder if we have all been exposed to covid because this property has zero regard for the health and safety of its guests? Cleanliness of hotel rooms is paramount to your business. I am not sure why this property does not understand that. I chose a Marriott property because of an expectation of quality and service and I received neither of those from this property. I will NEVER stay at a Townplace Suits again and will actively discourage...
Read moreWe stayed here over night when we were in Roseville for a friend's wedding.
Very clean and newly built. Great king room for $89 a night after tax. There's a kitchenette, a decent size bathroom, walk in closet, and a desk. The layout is very space efficient. Even though the room is not large, it doesn't feel cramped.
The lady at the front desk was super nice (Kimberly?) I called the day before to see if we could get early check in. She said it shouldn't' be a problem but to call back about 30 minutes before my arrival. I did just that and she remembered me. After we checked in, I realized I didn't give her my marriott rewards #. I returned to the front desk with my #. She was on the phone, but happily took my paper so I wouldn't have to wait in line. She then called me back at the room to confirm that it's been submitted. Very good customer service.
We needed more shampoo and conditioner and they brought them over right away. They have a nice selection of food for sale in the front for those who are traveling on business and want to use the microwave/kitchenette. I went to the gift shop to see if they sold any tampons and they didn't. I asked the receptionist where I can buy some and she went in the back and gave me a bunch for free.
Free continental breakfast in the morning. I thought there'd be hot food items such as eggs (I've had them at other marriotts before). However, all they had were waffles, cereals, oatmeals, yogurts, juices, and fruits. Not bad, but I was just a little bit disappointed. You make your own waffle using the waffles machine and they have pre-measured cups of batter that will make a perfect waffle. lots of syrup and butter available. yum!
I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay around the area. Very clean and modern and the price tag really...
