Norcal Bottle Shop — Local services in Rocklin

Firm believer in supporting local businesses...but there's a line. Walked into this new shop and was excited thinking there was an alternative to the large chain stores. Wine selection is limited at best. In the desire to support a local business, picked out a "top shelf" bottle of wine. I say top shelf because it was on one of the higher shelves...and for some reason these bottles weren't marked with a price. The worker was amazingly nice so I simply brought the bottle of wine to checkout without asking the price. Paid $74 for a wine that retails for $50 everywhere else. The worker then tells me that if I buy three bottles I get 20% off...dang really, that almost brings me back to regular retail. I won't be back and suggest others check pricing before...

My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine's Day after having a terrible experience at a Chinese restaurant nearby. My boyfriend explained to a man at the register our situation and got some recommendations for alcohol. We were offered samples of shots and it was amazing. Excellent store!! Their craft beer selection is huge and, most importantly, affordable! Lots of people say places have a "good selection" when they're talking about beer, but as an avid beer enjoyer, they're usually lying. Not the case here!
