Sub Somboon Street Food — Restaurant in Rockport

On our journey through Rockland, Maine. We made a spontaneous decision to visit this charming eatery to tide us over until evening. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality by two friendly faces. :)

Initially, we didn't plan on ordering beverages, having just grabbed a couple of drinks, but they graciously set our table and provided water. Before our meal arrived, it gave us enough time to converse; which was perfect timing.

The food looked appetizing, and we eagerly anticipated our first bites. The flavors were rich, and the sauces were exceptionally delicious. We only ordered small appetizers, however we will return soon for a bigger meal. I can't wait. 🫶🏻

Cute small local joint run by two Asian women that were very friendly and have mad cooking skills. We ordered totally different dishes to try different aspects of menu. All was very delicious, the wait wasn’t bad even tho there was two to go orders ahead and a pick up. Definitely a must, my fav dish was the mad chicken with a heat of medium—sooo delicious 😋 and the passion fruit smoothie was perfect, it was not your typical smoothie more like a boba drink without the boba but ohh so good. When checking for somewhere to eat found this place was close to the Inn we were staying at and had good reviews. We decided to try it out and so glad we did. We had the chive dumplings and spring rolls that were very tasty. Our server recommended the chive dumplings and they did not disappoint. They felt very light even though they were fried and the spring rolls had a different flavor than the normal ones I’ve eaten, but it was very good.
