Harbor Freight — Local services in Rockland

Apparently a sale is not a sale! After purchasing several large dollar tools in the last few months and having paid for an Insider club membership, I just had a very strange experience at the Rockland store. I purchased a 3 ton jack last Sunday for $109. The insider club email I received a couple of days ago said that it was now on sale for $89.

Went to the store with the jack and asked if I needed to return the unopened jack to get the extra $20 off, as I was going to apply it to other additional items that were in their parking lot sale. The manager said that I could return the jack but he would sell it back to me for the lower sale price. Called the corporate number, who said that they should have sold me the jack at the lower price and suggested that I go to another store or go back tomorrow when other people would be there. Really? Love harbor freight, the manager here is a bit of a dink though. Went in to get a 30$ difference refunded on a product I bought the day before a sale (since it wasn’t posted anywhere until the following day I had no idea) when I came in the guy told me I “should have known it was going on sale” and that he “doesn’t need to do the refund.
