UPDATE: I showed up at tjmaxx AGAIN today. The same women tried to gossip about my OWN grandmother to me. For “taking the display (an item to be purchased.) off the table to buy it. Because it “ruined” her earring display. Then I was yelled at to not spray the perfume by here (keep in mind I never sprayed the perfume once. I was just looking at them.) I’m honestly shocked and disgusted by her not being fired yet. She’s done nothing but comment on my appearance & make rude remarks to me over the last 3 years every time I’m in there. I was shopping for earrings in a cropped sweatshirt and high waisted sweatpants. One of the jewelry workers said the way I was dressed was “making people stare at me and bad for their eyes. Apparently everyone was “looking at my stomach” and I “shouldn’t be dressed like that.” She also claimed that it’s “bad for everyone’s auras” and “I’m too young to be dressed like that.” Keep in mind I’m (18) and only 2.5 inches of my stomach was showing. Honestly disgusting & she...
Read moreI was very impressed with this store this weekend in particular. We are local and frequent shoppers, but this weekend we went to do some last minute back to school shopping. As expected, the store was much busier than usual. To our surprise, the store was still neat and organized and had enough staff to cover the rush throughout the store. Much more than usual, there were many extra clearance racks available at convenient locations throughout the store. We found plenty of fantastic deals on items for the entire family! There was also a very pleasant employee that took the extra time to help my daughter search for an item she had seen just a few days prior. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate it, assuming it had been sold, reminding us that when you find something you like you had better act fast before it is gone! We love that we never know what we might find and with the diverse selections found in all departments there is always something...
Read moreI am incredibly disappointed with this store. It seems as though the Rockland store has become the dumping ground for things that don't sell elsewhere. The thing I am most disgusted with is the fact the the clothing for Plus Size has been diminished to two racks of clothing, hidden in between the massive amouts of other clothing, and all of it is so out dated and colorless that it wasn't worth looking closely at. Do corporations really thnk larger sized women only want to dress in drab, shapeless cast-offs? Lastly, the aisles have been squeezed closer together so no one can look without blocking other customers. Needless to say, I left without purchasing anything. And I will not return...
