Grabbed a late lunch here on Good Friday. It had been quite some time since our last visit (which wasn’t too long after they opened). This was a much more pleasant experience. Our first time was just okay. Burgers were great, but everything else just okay and fries forgettable. Plus, at least at that time, they didn’t have a kids menu which was a downer as the burgers aren’t cheap nor very kid-sized. However, while I still don’t know if they have a kids menu, both mh and I were extremely happy with our lunch. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. I had the turkey burger which was delicious. I hate the whole thing! DH has the portobello burger which he also thoroughly enjoyed. I also ordered the elote as I know he likes elote. I enjoyed this elote which was really more of a creamed corn with a little spice on top. It wasn’t spicy or flavorful enough for DHs preference (for reference/comparison, his favorite elote is from velvet taco in Dallas). But we still enjoyed our lunch and will likely come back sooner than we did the last time. FYI: the burgers are around $12ish a pop. Sides are extra. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s a good quality, extremely juicy burger. So they really are worth it even if the sides leave something to be desired.

First time coming to this nice establishment. We were greeted with a friendly hostess and seated quickly, but I would suggest to come a little early if you want to do a dinner because there aren't too many seats. Our waiter Jovanny was great, he was attentive and informative and made some great suggestions. My family all had burgers and we split the fries and onion rings. My husband and son both ordered the Bacon Burger and my husband was pleasantly surprised by the shallot compote paired with the chilli sauce, our waiter stated that you have to eat them together because they balance each other out but if you try them separately they are not good and my husband agrees. I had the Cowboy burger with no jalapenos and it was quite tasty. They did not over BBQ sauce the burger and the brisket was a nice touch. I really liked the bun as well. The onion rings though were pretty great, it had a great batter to where it stuck to the onion. You didn't take bite and have a mouth full of onion so that was a plus! The fries were also crispy which surprisingly was good. You order the burger and sides separate which is common nowadays, the burgers themselves are a little on the pricey side.

We loved Charlie's Burgers. I'm impressed that they are on untapped and keep their beer list up to date. For beer-lovers, this is a great place to go because it also looks like they change out their taps. We just added it to our rotation because of that. The food was great and had a nice little twist on a few of the items. We both had the classic burger which was perfectly cooked (medium rare) to our request and had a nice smoked flavor. I thought the creamed corn was good, I think the corn was fresh. It wasn't quite as good as some of the street elote that I've had but it exceeded my expectations compared to almost every other restaurant serving it that I've been to in the area. The service was awesome and and I'll mention again, great beer selection!! Very cute place. We will be back.

Placed an order through Door Dash tonight. 30 minutes later I received a message that the Dasher was at the restaurant waiting for the order. A few minutes passed then I received a text that the order had been cancelled because they could not fulfill the order. I called the restaurant to see what was going on and they put me in touch with the manager, Tiffany. She was extremely combative and rude and told me that “they aren’t on door dash anymore because they keep changing their prices and menu,” and that if I had a problem, I should just take it up with Door Dash. Any experienced “manager” would have asked what our order was and attempted to fulfill it well before this point. Our contact information was readily available to them from the poor door dasher that had been waiting and wasted his/her time and gas to fulfill our order. When I informed her that they were still on door dash, hence the order I was able to place, she HUNG UP ON ME!!! I had not been ugly or used any inappropriate language, this “manager” Tiffany was just not willing to try to help. I called back and could not get a word in edgewise with her. She was talking over me and would not even listen to logic. It’s unfortunate that this establishment has such poor management. In terms of management, this should have been a very easy issue to resolve. This being said, the food is decent, although a little overpriced for what it is. Until this experience, we would still order and visit this establishment from time to time for variety and because it’s...

Really rude lady-seemed like a manager as she was behind the bar and out front and seemed in charge. We go out often, and I can not recall a time when we were treated anything like this. Went there on Saturday about 2:00 as our family of 8 were meeting for lunch. Our party arrived at 3 times. Our son and DIL said there were 8 coming, and were told they could not seat us until everyone was there. Understood. Then my husband and I arrived and we asked about getting our name in, as the rest of our party would be there in less than 5 minutes. The lady was visibly annoyed and repeated that there was nothing she could do until all were there.

By this point I already said that we would never go back as the one lady was so hostile. The rest of the group arrived and the lady said she would seat us after she swept up the area. Then she said "Anyone?". She was further annoyed at us, I am guessing, as no one responded to her stating she was going to sweep. Not sure what we were supposed to say to that, and actually we were talking to each other.

Then she directed us to 2 different tables with no comment. We asked if we could put the tables together and they said no. So we left and went across the street to Zanata where we were seated together, right away and had a great time. Very strange how she was so angry at us, and strange that she never said they could not seat us together, just showed us 2 tables. We won't be bothering them again. ...

Carry out: We ordered carry out tonight and it was fantastic. The packaging was cool; nice boxes, sacked in a very nice brown bag. All very well done.

The food was exceptional. Everything cooked to perfection just the way we ordered it. Very nicely done. I will certainly remember this experience.

Second visit: Our second visit cost them two stars because the fries were way overcooked till they were like chips. I ordered my burger medium and it came out almost well done and way too salty. The bottom part of the bun almost disappeared.

Also the place was so hot. They had a rental AC unit going inside the dining area. Very awkward and not at all effective. Also they said they're going to start having live music there once a week. Well, there's not enough room in there for the guests and the AC unit, so I have no idea how there going to have a band. Won't be going back on Thursday nights for that mess. May not go back again at all after paying that kind of money for subpar meal.

Initial visit: Really good food at Charlie's. The appetizers were excellent and the burger was about as good as I've had in town. Certainly the best Rockwall has to offer. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was really nice with the front doors open and lots of cool spaces.

My wife had the fried oyster tacos and she said they...
