Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

It was our first time visiting this chuckie Cheeses’ and we enjoyed it as we always do! This one is nice and clean but I will say that sometimes the games need more attention when it’s a high yielding ticket game. Granted, I realize it’s hard to keep up with all the ticket outages. With that being said, each time I went to the desk to ask for help with tickets & one time for the soap in the bathroom to be refilled, the ppl at the desk were very nice and accommodating. Especially Sammie and a young Man that quickly came to our rescue on ticket outages many times. They were very genuinely sorry for us losing tickets so Sammie was quick to give us some extra tickets to make up for our loss of tickets. But we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our day as well as some of the other children that were there. We were there about 3 hours and enjoyed each minute! Fun! Clean fun and a family environment. They were having problems with the card machines due to the tornado in the area but everything worked out and they managed the best that they could under the circumstances. Tonight 1/20/2018 we didn't even get to go in. There was a fight just outside the entrance. There was in excess of twenty adults involved and blocking the entrance. Punches were thrown and the police were called. Several people had walked to their car and rummaged around. We couldn't be sure if they were getting weapons or not. Five or six police cars responded and lots of people fled the scene and lots of other patrons were told to leave and were escorted out of the building by officers. My five year old was very sad, but we didn't feel as if going inside was the best idea, for fear that someone would return with weapons to retaliate. Lots of other patrons, unrelated to the altercation, left for their own safety. Too bad for Chuck E. Cheese's that they are located in Rocky Mount. we threw a party for our child here and were pleased with the overall experience. There was a super kind, woman (older) who was helpful the entire party. The food was good, entertainment was endless for the kids too. My issue lies with how the general manager spoke to me in regards to an unpaid ticket.

A staff person mistakenly told my fiance the ticket was already paid for and it hadnt been. We were so busy getting our guest/gifts out and didn't realize it, until they called. We drove from out of town so it was an inconvenience to have to turn around and pay the ticket, when I had been informed that I could indeed pay over the phone.

The general manager's tone didn't sit well with me. While I understand some may intentionally try and get out of paying a ticket, we are not one of them. Definitely send my 5 stars to the staff who helped us throughout the...
