Shawarmalicious — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

Please note I never ate here; I was looking for a building to go and eat here just to find out it is a food food truck. Unfortunately I don’t like to eat at food trucks because I don’t think they have enough water to wash their hands and keep it clean. So I never ate there so that part I cannot comment. If you’re OK with food trucks, it looks like they have a lot of good reviews. I took off one star to make the owner happy because I left 3 stars before and he was not happy so I decided to give 4 stars, even though I never ate here. I didn’t want to ruin the good record.. I went out of my way to drive here just to find out it was a food truck. If I knew that I would’ve never wasted my time and gas. The same way I don’t like to eat restaurants that accept pets. I like to eat in a clean place. So I avoid food trucks because that is my opinion and choice. Shwarmalicious soooo delicious!!! I just happened to find this on my map app when attempting to find lunch. I travel for work so its always great to find a new cool spot. Good food trucks are hard to keep up with because they are mobile, however just as the app stated this food truck was exactly where they said it would be.

The operator was very friendly and the lunch rush had just subsided, he stated it would be about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. To my surprise the food was ready under that time and he called me back over. I got the chicken shawarma bowl and he offered the spicy garlic sauce as it is a new item. The food was fabulous, it was exactly what I needed. Chicken was cooked perfectly w/ amazing flavor on top of a bed of rice, a small salad, a falafel cooked to perfection. All items paired w hummus, garlic sauce and tzatziki sauce.

We were on the road with a stop for the night in Rocky Mount, so we googled best restaurants in Rocky Mount and look who came up. It was the best Mediterranean meal I'd had in years.
