Hema's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

Me and my girlfriend went there aint there for her birthday and the waitresse forgot My order and only brought hers out and the pizza one of the other waitress I asked her where was my order and she got it for me while we waited for waited for at least 3 hours for our food to come My girlfriend came out but mine didn't mind it shall eventually the other waitress who was obviously waiting our table toour table too and every other table in there and there got my order where the other waitress was I do not know the place was chaotic they up charge you 15% of your total bill and and explain it on the economy When we finally ordered our food lamb chicken and rice special we barely got any rice and the chicken porsches and lamb horses were very small the food was good but it wasn't what we expected and the service was horrible except for one Waitress a very skinny brunette who did an amazing job Overall this place used to be really good I would not go...

This little place will be in business for many years to come if it's based on these three things. Staff (majority) is polite respectful, and fast. The atmosphere is chill. I personally have t had many things on the menu, that's bc the items I do get are so good I don't even think of trying something new. Lol. I recommend the steak and cheese stromboli (and thats folded w/meat sauce). The steak and cheese, and the ham and cheese subs are excellent also. Just wish it automatically came with chips or fries and pickle. I always forget to add one of those when ordering bc it usually does come along with. Might I add, this is one of the cleanest (that I've seen) places in RM to eat. Happy eating....

I wish I had taken photos of the food. I grew up in Franklin County and moved away 10 plus years ago. Anytime I come home to visit, I have to eat here. I live in Wilmington, NC and it’s full of awesome restaurants but none of them compare to the comfort, quality, serving size, and price points of Hemas. My fiancée loves it also, we are both foodies. It feels like I’m eating a family dinner. It is so comforting. The food is always delicious and generous in size. The menu is full of amazing options. And the cherry on the cake, a very kind gentleman who I’m guessing may be the manager or owner, drew a picture for our young daughter. This was so heart warming....
